May 2014: Fortnite

Game Informer May 2014: Fortnite
Epic Games as a company has never been one to fear change. It's succeeded in shareware PC titles, arena shooters, triple-A console shooters, and mobile titles, and it's making another leap with the free-to-play Fortnite. Epic revealed the game at the 2011 VGAs, but little has been known about it outside of a basic fort-building theme. In the May issue of Game Informer, we offer the first extensive look at the ambitious new project.

April 2014: Batman: Arkham Knight

Game Informer April 2014: Batman: Arkham Knight
The developer that made Arkham a household name is back. Rocksteady Studios' Arkham Asylum innovated with the freeflow combat system and stalking gameplay in 2009, and the team blew it all out to an open world in 2011's Arkham City. Rocksteady is hoping to raise the bar even higher on what will be its final Arkham game. Set after the events of Arkham City, Batman: Arkham Knight may just end the Dark Knight's journey.

March 2014: Metal Gear Solid V

Game Informer March 2014: Metal Gear Solid V
Hideo Kojima enjoys toying with his fan base. The Metal Gear creator's track record of surprises includes swapping out the legendary Solid Snake with a new rookie protagonist and forming a fake development studio to mislead gamers. Kojima’s history of hijinks has been in full swing on the road leading to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and its prologue, Ground Zeroes. Game Informer traveled to Kojima Productions' headquarters in Tokyo, Japan to cut through MGS V’s shroud of mystery.
