Notes
  1. ^ Only Samsung Smart TV and discontinued Bada platform apps are classified as Native Operating system platform. Android apps in Samsung Apps store should be classified as third-party platform apps as alternative for Google Play.
  2. ^ Microsoft classifies developer accounts to individual accounts and company accounts. Individual accounts are restricted from using specific app capabilities and cannot list desktop apps in Windows Store, while company accounts do not have this restriction.[55] Microsoft verifies company accounts by contacting the company official, while this is not done for individual accounts.[56]

Third-party platforms[edit]

Third-party platforms are software distribution platforms which are used as alternative for Operating system native distribution platforms and are not using own independent Operating system. Independent Operating system is software collection which using own software distribution, customized user interface, SDK and API (except Billing API which is related only to application store). Independent Operating system is not software collection using only own user interface customization or own billing API related only to application store.
