Pepe Reina was today crowned Liverpool's Player of the Season following a fans' vote on this website.
Thousands of supporters took part in the poll - and a whopping 75 per cent chose our man between the sticks.
This was the season that Reina claimed his fourth Golden Gloves award, though he had to share the accolade with Chelsea's Petr Cech, who also kept 17 Barclays Premier League clean sheets.
The Spanish custodian proved himself a hero throughout 2009-10, from his stunning opening day save to deny Robbie Keane to a clutch of stops in our final home game against Chelsea.
Reina will perhaps remember October's trip to Sunderland as the time he was duped by a beach ball, but there was also a brilliant intervention to thwart Darren Bent.
An outstanding double save in front of Sky's cameras at Goodison Park in November was another highlight as the 27-year-old stumped both Tim Cahill and Marouane Fellaini.
While Reina was the runaway winner, Fernando Torres came second with nine per cent of the vote, followed by Javier Mascherano on four per cent.
