NANTA is a non-verbal performance mixing comedy, music and cooking!
It appeals to all ages and since it has no dialogue (with the story expressed through music and motion) there is no language barrier.
Set in a kitchen, the show is titled Cooking, with knives and other kitchen utensils transformed into percussive instruments.
The performers thrill the audience with acrobatics and a surprise wedding ceremony.
NANTA made its international debut in 1999 at Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it received an award for the best performance.
Since then, it has been staged in the UK, Germany, Austria, Italy, Japan, and many more.
Eventually NANTA became the first Asian musical to debut on Broadway at the New Victory Theatre, New York.
NANTA aims to become the longest running show in Korea and has welcomed more than one million foreign visitors. And now it is coming to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
