If you're planning on picking up Tales of Graces but want to make sure you have the latest version of the game, retail blog Famicom Plaza shows how you can tell.

New copies of the game hitting retail now will have an orange sticker in the upper left, as shown here:

The sticker says "Updated Version." It's attached to the outside packaging and not to the game case itself, which may or may not mean something depending on your collecting preferences.

If you already have the game and want to swap your disc with a new version, check out Namco Bandai's support page (of course, this only applies to residents of Japan -- importers are presumably out of luck).
