The LBMA has an experienced team whose main role is to support the OTC market for gold and silver bullion which is focused on the loco London contract.
Ruth Crowell
Chief Executive
Prior to joining the LBMA, Ruth worked in bank finance and US corporate law at the law firms of White & Case and Norton Rose, as well as acted as a monitor at the UN Commission on Human Rights in Geneva.
She has an MSc in History of International Relations from the London School of Economics and a degree in English Literature from Kenyon College in Ohio.
Ruth is responsible for the strategic commercial development of the Association, including Regulatory Affairs, Intellectual Property, Communications, and Events.
Ruth acts as the LBMA's main contact for regulatory affairs. She is responsible for the Association's work on supply chain due diligence, especially with regard to the Responsible Gold Guidance. She also represents the Association at industry, governmental and multi-stakeholder regulatory forums. Most recently she served as the co-facilitator of the OECD Interim Governance Group as well as the co-facilitator of the Gold Supplement Drafting Committee.
Ruth is also responsible for overseeing the development of the LBMA Conference, the LBMA's quarterly publication the Alchemist and the LBMA website.
Jyoti Trivedi Amin
Good Delivery List Officer
Jyoti is the GDL Officer, with primary responsible for the administration of the LBMA Good Delivery System, including all GD applications, Proactive Monitoring and the Proficiency Testing Scheme. She is responsible for maintaining strong working relationships with vaults, members, refiners and other related issues applications regarding Good Delivery. Jyoti previously worked for Johnson Matthey for more than 10 years.
Emma Attridge
Good Delivery List Administrator
Emma is the GDL Administrator, and is primarily responsible for supporting the GDL Officer in the administration of the LBMA Good Delivery System, including all GD applications, Proactive Monitoring and the Proficiency Testing Scheme. She joined the Executive in 2012, having previously worked in the Bullion Operations Department at the Bank of England for a number of years.
Aelred Connelly
Public Relations Officer Aelred supports the administration and organisation of the Association's Public Affairs. This includes primary responsibility for all marketing materials, publications, website, as well as interaction with the press. He is also the editor for the LBMA's quarterly publication, the Alchemist.
Prior to joining the LBMA, Aelred worked at the Bank of England for more than twenty five years. During the last five years of his career at the Bank he gained specific bullion market experience in his role as a Gold Bullion analyst, supporting senior management in the Bank's Customer Banking Division. He previously acted as a relationship manager for a portfolio of the Bank's customers including central banks and government departments. During his time at the Bank he studied part-time for a BA Honours degree in Business Studies, gaining a 2:1:
Varsha Peiris
Office Manager
Varsha is responsible for providing support to the Chief Executive and Commercial Director in the administration of the Executive Office, including office management, membership applications, the LBMA annual conference, other LBMA events, the LBMA website and publications.
Juliet Pithers
Accounts & Office Assistant
Juliet is responsible for all finance related issues including preparation of management accounts, budgets, invoicing and payments. Juliet has more than 25 years of experience working in accounting and finance.
Collett Roberts
Events Coordinator
Collett is responsible for organising and marketing all LBMA events including the annual conference. seminars and social events which take place throughout the year. She holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting & Finance, is a part qualified member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and holds the Association of Accounting Technicians Qualification.
