Yanukovych's vanity fair in Mezhyhirya

The public on Feb. 25 is still coming to grips with the excessivly opulent lifestyle led by Viktor Yanukovych, the former Ukrainian president who fled office and Kyiv on Feb. 22, ahead of an arrest warrant that charges him with the mass murders of nearly 100 EuroMaidan demonstrators. The 140-hectare grounds have been open to the public since then. Investigative journalists are also sifting through documents for evidence of financial fraud. The complex is estimated to have cost tens of millions of dollars to complete and renovate. Parliament on Feb. 23 returned the "museum of corruption" to state ownership
