Dogs

My dog is Honey. She has been with me for 8 years now. She is my seizure dog. She can tell when I am going to have a seizure and she alerts those around me or she gets me to safety. She will let me know when the phone rings or if something needs to be taken care of. As an example, I left my little birds sitting on their stand on the floor, she came to me and let me know that something was wrong, I walked upstairs and there they were, 4 little birds just sitting on the floor. Now most dogs would have had a field day chasing after little birds. Not Honey, she came to tell me I had forgotten to put them away. Honey has even put her paws on my shoulders to try to "shake" me awake when I have passed out. She once led me back home when I forgot where I was (this was her first day at my sister's home and she remembered how to get back to her house after the first try). Honey is an amazing dog. I couldn't do it without her. Just recently she looked at me deep in the eyes and put her paw on my leg just as I was getting ready to go out so I decided that she was trying to tell me something and 30 min. later, I had a seizure. Dogs are absolutely wonderful. They can sense everything about the person they are with. I wouldn't have it any other way.
