The Briefing Papers

A comprehensive summary of information about current world issues and the UN's involvement in them.

There are twenty issues, arranged into an overview, progress already made, focus examples, what needs work, student activities, and resources.

The new Technology Briefing Paper examines where technology is headed and what it is doing for the citizens of the world.

A teaching module with 6 units on urbanisation, "Cities of Today, Cities of Tomorrow" was our first module and remains one of our most popular resources. Teaching units, quizzes, animations, city profiles, and more.

 Schools Demining Schools 

Learn about the dangers of landmines from people who have experienced them firsthand and what you can do. One of our most popular units, no longer active, but still a great starting point.

 

 Human Rights 

1998 was the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Read our interactive Declaration of Human Rights, stories from people around the world, and our Q&A; sessions with human rights experts.

 The Poverty Curriculum 

Seven units that explore the interconnected causes and effects of poverty. What does it mean to be poor? What are the best ways to fight poverty? Activities, discussion, role playing.

 

 Health Curriculum 

"Fighting Disease", a teaching module with 6 units on infectious diseases. All events are now over, but you can still access the teaching units, the definitions, the disease index, the quiz and more.

 Women's Rights 

Specially put together for 8 March International Women's Day, this package of history and activities can be used year-round to inspire and inform.

 

 Cleaner Oceans
