Woman injured when car overturns in collision

A car overturned in a collision with a taxi on Saturday, leaving a woman passenger injured.

SINGAPORE: A car overturned in a collision with a taxi on Saturday, leaving a passenger injured.

Police said they received a call at about 7.20am, requesting for help at the junction of Upper Thomson Road and Tagore Drive.

Photos from a member of the public, Kelvin Ong, showed a blue sedan lodged upside down against the divider of the road.

The police said a woman, who was a passenger in the car, was sent conscious to KK Women's and Children's Hospital.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was also at the scene.

SCDF said the woman, who is in her 30s, had complained of back pain.

Another passenger -- a boy about two years old -- was also sent to the hospital, with redness on the cheek.

Police said the man driving the car was not hurt.

The taxi driver, who did not have any passengers at the time of the accident, was also unhurt.

Police investigations are ongoing.
