Harbinger knocks Dish's bid for LightSquared's spectrum
NEW YORK, Jan 3 - Phil Falcone's Harbinger Capital Partners, which controls bankrupt satellite company LightSquared, has asked a judge to reject a takeover effort by Dish Network Corp, saying its $2.2 billion bid for a chunk of LightSquared's spectrum is a "Trojan horse".

Some 22,000 barrels of daily oil output at Brazil's Petroleo Brasileiro SA remains offline a week after a fire broke out aboard the P-20 semi-submersible oil production platform in the Marlim field, a spokeswoman for the state-run firm known as Petrobras said on Friday.
CANADA STOCKS-TSX ends lower as China data drags
TORONTO, Jan 3 - Canada's main stock index ended lower on Friday, with weak economic data from China weighing on investor sentiment and causing declines in the financial, materials and energy sectors. The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P;/TSX composite index unofficially closed down 45.33 points, or 0.33 percent, at 13,548.86. Six of the 10 main sectors on the index were in the red.
