Mike Posner has finally unveiled the music video for his Big Sean-assisted single, “Top of the World,” and RyanSeacrest.com has the exclusive premiere.

The clip opens with the “Please Don’t Go” crooner reading an old quote he penned in his notebook pre-fame. “My smiles don’t result from good things,” he says in a voice-over. “They result in good things … I don’t even remember writing it.”

After his message, the Jon Jon Augustavo-directed video finds the 25-year-old with longtime friend, Big Sean, standing at the 50-yard line at Ford Field — home of the Detroit Lions — and other Motor City-based sporting arenas.

The celebratory visual also includes shots of the duo at Mike’s alma mater, Birmingham Groves High School, a cameo from his parents, the Finally Famous crew, and Diplo, who produced the track alongside Benny Blanco.

“Top of the World,” a song about setting high goals, is the introductory single off his upcoming sophomore album, PAGES, due out in 2014.
