Liberty
The third season opens as the Machine?still missing but now completely self-governed?resumes providing "irrelevant" numbers for people who will be involved in violent crimes, starting with a U.S. naval officer who's in New York for Fleet Week. Elsewhere, Carter goes after the corrupt police organization HR; and Root tests the boundaries of the asylum.
Nothing to Hide
A number comes up for an online entrepreneur who routinely invades other people's privacy but then finds his own being attacked. Meanwhile, Carter is paired with a new rookie partner.
Lady Killer
Reese recruits Zoe Morgan, Carter and Shaw to help him keep tabs on a chameleon playboy whose number has come up. Elsewhere, Root is hunted by a dangerous enemy and turns to the Machine for help escaping from her psych ward.
Reasonable Doubt
HD. The team gets the number of a prominent New York lawyer and has to determine whether she orchestrated the death of her recently murdered husband, or if she is being framed.
Razgovor
Shaw reluctantly accepts an assignment to tail a 10-year-old girl whose number has come up, but she eventually grows to admire the girl's surveillance skills. Elsewhere, Carter's plan to bring down HR may be exposed.
Mors Praematura
A newly freed Root receives instructions from the Machine and requires Shaw's assistance to carry them out. Meanwhile, Finch and Reese receive a number for an amicable estate investigator.

Critic Reviews for Person Of Interest: Season 3
One of the nice things about Person of Interest is that, for all its techno-patina and its master-criminal overlay, the cases themselves are often nicely person-sized.
All in all though, an enjoyable outing.
Person of Interest... has doubled down on its intrigue to hastily evolve from a bland procedural with a nifty visual aesthetic... into a solid action-thriller that intersperses twist-filled standalone episodes into its season-long arcs.
Sounds like we're off to a strong start. Color me interested.
Person Of Interest needs time to work up a head of steam again, but the prognosis for season three looks pretty good from where I'm sitting.
The fun and entertaining element hasn't been deleted, the characters are continuing to grow, Shaw and Root add interesting new aspects to the core story and the teases of the Machine have me intrigued to know what's coming.
It did deliver on the humor infused action and great one-liners from Reese.
Last night's episode of Person of Interest may fall into my top five for the show.
