A Little About Me: I founded MuggleNet 10 years ago. I was 12. I was bored. And homeschooled. Now I'm 22. I graduated from Notre Dame. I have two brothers, Dylan (20 - scroll down) and Drew (10). They are awesome. I play lots of sports. I am a HUGE nerd. I read between 100-200 non-fiction books a year. I'm a pathological optimist.

At first, I thought I was 'too cool' for Harry Potter . Wizards, broomsticks?! Kid stuff! Then I read the first two books in one night. And PoA the next night. And started MuggleNet a month later.

I co-founded GivesMeHope. It's like FML, but happy.

I met JK Rowling. Yes, it was the high light of my life. The night Book 7 came out was crazy. I pro posed to my wife Gaby Montero at a Chicago Bulls game. She's adorable. Geral do likes me. This news anchor is dumb.

By the way, if you email me and don't get a response back, please don't take it personally. My typing monkeys have been threatening to strike, and my inbox is a disaster area.

Favorite Movies: HP of course, Bourne Identity series, LOTR, Hunt for Red October, too many to list really
Favorite Music: Believe it or not....Nirvana, Bush, STP, most Grunge and Classic Rock
A Little About Me: I am not the oldest HP fan, but I am one of the most devoted in my age group. I've collected the books as they came out since 2000 for my daughter, but it wasn't until the 2005 release of HBP that I decided to see what this was all about. WOW! I was lost in the world and still love retreating to it today. I have read the series more times than I can recall, and that makes me obsessed, right? Well, I had the pleasure of being a larger part of the fan base when I was asked to help develop programs for the Enlightening 2007 HP convention in Philadelphia. I played Dumbledore for the opening feast, and introduced the MuggleCast team to the crowds. Then I even developed and hosted a "HP Jeopardy" style trivia contest for the various age groups including a MuggleNet special in which our own Ben Schoen and Jamie Lawrence participated and had fun. I was also inducted into the Atlanta HP group in Atlanta Georgia when I co-hosted a fabulous group of fellow fans to "HP Family Feud" and "HP Jeopardy" games with my good friend Hanako. Needless to say, I love my HP friends and family!

A Little About Me: I credit my obsessive love of Harry Potter to my best friend, Hope. She convinced me to watch Sorcerer's Stone and I was immediately drawn in. I went right out and purchased the books and devoured them in no time. Harry renewed a love for reading that I had long since lost. I stumbled upon MuggleNet shortly after and became a frequent visitor. I was hired in 2006 as a gallery coder, and slowly took on odd jobs. I took over and reinvented Fan of the Week back February of 2009 then publicity in late 2012! October 2013 marks my seven year anniversary with MuggleNet, and I hope to be with the site for many years to come!
When I'm not online reading all of your emails (YES! I read ALL of them!) I am a small business owner in Western Massachusetts. I run a successful photography studio and design business. I am also very interested in fashion, graphic design, music of all kinds, interior design, & keeping fit and healthy. I am in love with my MINI Cooper Convertible and wouldn't trade it for the world. Well...maybe for a chat with Jo.

A Little About Me: I have enjoyed contributing content to MuggleNet since late 2002, when I was very young. Since then, I've traveled around the globe with friends, something that would not have been possible without either the confidence that the Potter books inspired within me or the opportunities that resulted fro m my work here on the site and on MuggleCast. I was born in Reading, Pennsylv ania and now reside in Chicago, IL. I have a full-time job and live with two roommates, each with big friendly canine s. I enjoy life, and I pursue writing as a passion.

A Little About Me: My MuggleNet journey started with MNI in 2004, then joining staff in 2005. I'm a co-host of Alohomora! and manage content here on MuggleNet. I was lucky enough to grow up pretty much right alongside Harry Potter, as the last book came out right after my senior year of high school. Like most fans, the Harry Potter universe has pretty much been a way of life for me, which is why I've hung around these sites for so long.

Away from working on the site, I love sports, books, writing, movies, politics and photography.

A Little About Me: When I was seven, I made a deal with my mom: I was only allowed to see The Sorcerer's Stone movie, which she deemed 'too scary,' if I read the book first. So I did, and an obsession was born. I started visiting MuggleNet when I was eight and I've been an avid reader ever since. I've also always been a huge fan of MuggleCast, which got me involved in the online Harry Potter community. While Harry will always be my biggest passion, my other hobbies include playing piano and guitar, listening to music, and rock climbing. I am studying journalism and cultural anthropology in school, and I'm thrilled to be able to combine my love of writing with my love of Harry Potter by working at MuggleNet!

A Little About Me: I have been a contributor of MuggleNet since February 2009, working as a transcriber for MuggleCast before being asked to join the MuggleNet staff in early 2012. I don't remember exactly when I started reading the Harry Potter books, but it was probably around 1999/2000. I did not discover the online fan community until much later, but I am forever grateful that I did in the end as it taught me to always stay true to myself and introduced me to so many lifelong friends. I love anything and everything to do with Harry Potter, including the fan sites, podcasts, wizard rock, and various Harry Potter related YouTube channels. I have recently graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Information Systems.

A Little About Me: I have been a fan of the Harry Potter movies since the beginning but I didn't get into the books until much later, finally finishing Deathly Hallows in 2009. In October 2010 I applied to be a MuggleCast transcriber, and I proceeded to eagerly volunteer to transcribe for Alohomora! and MuggleNet Academia in 2012. After corresponding for MuggleNet in November 2012, I was offered a staff position and gladly accepted!
I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Business and Commerce (Management)/Bachelor of Laws at the University of Western Sydney. I fill my free time with photography, reading, dance classes, podcasts, and endless amounts of Harry Potter and StarKid. I recently discovered my love for travel and cannot wait to continue exploring the world.

A Little About Me: I was introduced to Harry Potter in 2001 when my parents bought S/S. Hesitant at first, it took me 6 months to finally bring myself to watch it. I was instantly hooked. I grabbed all the books at the time, and burned through them. Wanting more and more, I dove deep into the online community on the official Harry Potter website, MuggleNet, and learned as much as I could about theories, plot twists, characters, etc. In 2008 I started a Harry Potter podcast called Hogwarts Radio which discusses everything to do with the series, from the latest news to untied plot points and much more. Hogwarts Radio is released on a bi-weekly schedule. I've been involved with the fandom for quite a while covering various events from movie premieres to interviews with the cast/crew of the films, fan conventions, and recently covered Emerald City Comic Con for MuggleNet.

Outside of Potter I enjoy acting, and producing music for local artists. I'm always up for a good time, and living life to it's fullest!. Feel free to follow me on twitter or Facebook!

Claire Furner | Publicity Assistant - UK
Age: 22 (Birthday: April 24th)

Favorite Movies: This changes on a regular basis but currently I’d probably say Midnight in Paris, The Avengers, Pirates of the Caribbean (The first one, of course. The other 3 never happened) and The Incredibles.
Favorite Shows: Doctor Who, Sherlock, Merlin, Being Human and Firefly.
A Little About Me: First read Harry Potter aged 9 (1999) but became truly hooked the summer of 2001, just before the first film came out. Been visiting MuggleNet for about 10 years so I thought I’d mark the occasion by applying for this internship. I am a theatre graduate getting into arts marketing and have a particular love for social media. Follow me on Twitter or even better, check out my blog for various film, TV or theatre related fangasms.

Pottermore House: Gryffindor
Favorite Music: The Mountain Goats, Nick Drake, The Beatles, Dolly Parton, Bob Dylan, The Magnetic Fields
A Little About Me: I've been a huge fan of Harry Potter since the fourth grade! I stole my sister's book and had to read it in the closet so she wouldn't find me. It's really all uphill from there. It was one of the most exciting moments of my life when I got to come face to face with J.K. Rowling at her recent signing in New York City. I still can't believe that actually happened.
I am currently a senior in college, and am looking forward to getting out into the big wide world after I graduate, although I am not quite sure yet what I will do. I've been reading MuggleNet since I was a young kid, and it's very surreal that I now get the chance to be a part of this team!

Pottermore House: Gryffindor
Favorite Shows: The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, The Vampire Diaries.
Favorite Bands/Music: Jack's Mannequin, Of Monsters and Men, Ed Sheeran, You Me At Six, Anberlin, The Killers, Relient k
A Little About Me: I was introduced to Harry Potter at the age of seven when my aunt sent me Sorcerer's Stone as a Halloween present. My mom told me that I couldn't see the first movie which came out the next month until I finished the book. I sped through it as fast as I could, sparking an obsession that cannot be contained. Since then, keeping up to date with all things Potter-related has become part of my daily routine. When I first discovered MuggleNet I knew it would be my favorite site. It became my online homepage for years, and I will never forget meeting one of my great friends in the MN comments. When I saw an opening as an intern, I jumped at the opportunity. Harry Potter is the one thing that never fails to put me in a good mood. I am so grateful for all of the wonderful memories the series has provided me with over the years. Outside of Harry Potter, I'm a student at Saint Mary's College of California. I dedicate a lot of time to writing (3-year NaNoWriMo participant) in hopes to one day write a novel of my own. I'm also a passionate runner, reader, and blogger. Feel free to follow me on Twitter (caution: I tweet way too often).

Favorite Shows: LOST, Fringe, CSI (LV), Once Upon a Time, Big Bang Theory, Modern Family
Favorite Movies:Pan’s Labyrinth, V for Vendetta, Shutter Island, Cloud Atlas
A Little About Me: I was first introduced to Harry Potter when I was 7, and I began reading Philosopher’s Stone once the fear that the previews for the first film had instilled in me had finally worn off. And so my passion for all things Potter was set into motion, and has not stopped for a moment since then. The highlight of my life has undoubtedly been getting to ‘meet’ J.K. Rowling and her shaking my hand at her recent book signing in NYC. I literally almost fainted. I was first introduced to MuggleNet probably around 2005, and I am very excited to now be a part of the incredible website that made me realize that I was not the only Harry Potter devotee out there. Beyond the Potter-verse, I have just graduated from high school and will hopefully be attending university in the fall of 2013 for marine biology.

Aimee Krenz - News Intern
Age: 33
Location: Portland, Oregon
Pottermore House: Slytherin
Favorite Movies: Harry Potter series, anything with Gerard Butler, Step-Brothers, Lost in Austen, Twilight series, Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog, Rocky Horror Picture Show
Favorite Music: Maroon 5, Buckcherry, Ke$ha, Chris Wallace, Gary Allan, The Killers, Olly Murs, Lorde, Paramore
Favorite TV shows: Castle, Magic City, Glee, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Big Brother, Drop Dead Diva, Project Runway, anything British
A Little About Me: Harry Potter came into my life in my twenties, about a year before the first film came out. I devoured the first four books in a matter of days, and took days off of work when the new books were released, just so I could have my Harry Potter book first and devoured without any interruptions. I still remember how it felt to see Harry get his wand in the previews for the first film, and how I came away from the movie saying it was exactly how I had pictured it when reading the book. I'm still a Potter fan (though how I ended up in Slytherin House, I'll never know), and always will be. When not reading or watching Harry Potter, I work full-time for a design company while attending college full-time working towards my Bachelor's in English degree. I love photography, writing, reading, and spending time with my family and friends. If there's a pool to swim in, you can bet I'll be in it.

Age: 25 (Birthday: November 3rd)

Pottermore House: Ravenclaw
Favorite Movies: Star Wars, Star Trek, The Avengers, The Dark Knight, Man of Steel, The Hunger Games, and any Disney movie
Favorite Music: Queen, Bruno Mars, Aerosmith, Kings of Leon, The Black Keys, Maroon 5, and Muse
Favorite TV shows: Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Firefly, Breaking Bad, Boardwalk Empire, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, The Newsroom, Once Upon a Time, and The Tudors
A Little About Me: I was first introduced to Harry Potter in the sixth grade. My sister devoured the books after her friend recommended them, and I soon followed suit. Only the first three books had been released and I was anxious to read more. The following summer Goblet of Fire was published and I proudly waited in line at midnight to get my copy. Little did I know that Harry Potter was just the first step on my literary journey. Although I had always enjoyed reading, Harry Potter was the book that got me interested in writing. I found MuggleNet just after the release of Order of the Phoenix. My friends and I were obsessed with the site while the books were being released. Now that I am a member of the MuggleNet team, I couldn't be happier. This is a dream come true!

I just graduated with my Bachelor's in English from Florida Atlantic University. I plan on pursuing my Master's in Science Fiction and Fantasy Literature in the Fall of 2014. My dream is to write fantasy and science fiction novels professionally. When not working, I am writing short stories or trying to enjoy the beach and the Florida sunshine. Still a bibliophile, I read any book that I can lay my hands on.

Alison Siggard - News Intern
Age: 19
Location: originally from Northern California, going to school in Northern Utah
Pottermore House: Hufflepuff (beta), Gryffindor (public)
Favorite Movies: Harry Potter (especially 3 and 7.2), Tangled, Princess Bride, Kelley's Heros, The Great Escape, and a bunch of other ones, depending on my mood.
Favorite Music: Mumford and Sons, Regina Spektor, Jack's Mannequin, Dashboard Confessional, Eric Whitacre, classic rock (thanks to my Dad), Parachute, assorted country...basically, a little bit of everything but rap.
Favorite TV shows: Psych, NCIS:LA, Sherlock, Merlin, and Doctor Who
A Little About Me: I've been a Harry Potter fanatic for as long as I can remember; I first read the books when I was about five or six (I could barely reach the shelf!), and I've since read them over 50 times each. The worst punishment my mom used to use on me was taking the books away; she even hid Order of the Phoenix from me so that she and my siblings could read it before it became permanently attached to my hands. I first stumbled upon MuggleNet through MuggleCast a few years ago, and was so excited to find there were people just as obsessed as I was! I became involved in the Alohomora! section from the beginning, and was asked to be a moderator on the forums (pen name: Ali Wood). I was so excited when, after applying on a whim, I was accepted to be a news intern, and it's been one of the most fun things I've done. I'm a college student at Brigham Young University, and when I'm not obessing over HP, you can probably find me studying to be an English teacher, writing, reading, working at the bowling alley, playing my flute or singing, playing tennis, getting into shenanegins with my roommates and friends, or daydreaming over traveling. If you want to imagine me, imagine Hermione - I've been told that I both look and act exactly like her, from the bossiness to the frizzy hair!

A Little About Me: I discovered the Harry Potter fandom later than many fans at 19 years old. Midway through my second year at universit y, a good friend and huge fan of the series convinced me to read the first book. I was immediately hooked and bought books 2,3, and 4, then waited anxiously with thousands if not millions of other fans, for the release of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I found MuggleNet in 2004 and joined the staff at MuggleNet Interactive (MNI) in Novem ber 2005. Since then, I've held the positions of Professor (Potions), Prefect, Head Girl, and now Deputy Headmistress . Over the years I've watched the site evolve in so many ways and have had the chance to meet so many wonderful peopl e, some of whom are now my closest friends.

Away from the HP fandom, I just finished my graduate degree in Anthropology. I'm a huge fan of musical theatre and dance, particularly ballet which I studied intensively while growing up. I play with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for fun, though I don't consider myself an artist by any means, and have done quite a few of the graphics for MNI ov er the years. When I'm not working or working on MNI, I can usually be found relaxing with my roommates, watching mov ies or curled up with a good book.

A Little About Me: The first time I was introduced into the world of Harry Potter was in my 12th grade AP Spanish class where we read PS in Spanish and watched the movie for practice. From there I was immediately sucked in to the fandom and all things about it. I found MuggleNet one day doing a search online for Harry Potter news, and from there I was introduced to MuggleNet Interactive.

Aside from working with MNI and hanging out around its forums I’m a California native that just moved back to this fantastic state from the Washington, DC area. I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Classics with an emphasis in Archaeology, and it’s something I’m still very passionate about, and I hope to pursue a graduate degree in Classics in the near future so that I may pursue a career in the field.

I’m very passionate about books and reading, and if I’m not online it’s very likely that I’ve got my nose buried in a book. I’m also an avid online gamer, spending time outside of MuggleNet with some awesome people on World of Warcraft.

Lastly, I very much enjoy traveling and visiting different places around the world. I haven’t gotten a chance to do nearly as much of that as I’d like to, but I’ve found that getting to see different things both inside the US and out have been some of the most interesting and fun experiences of my life.

As a child I was introduced to t he most fantastic stories as soon as they hit the shelves, and since then I’ve always had a pile to read at any one gi ven moment. I’ve been a Potter fan since the very first book was released when I was six, so I think it’s safe t o say I grew up with the series like so many fans. I’ve been on Mugglenet for over eight years now, first as a fan and then as staff over on the fanfiction site. Those of you who use that site will know me as Roxy Black, and I’m very proud to be bridging the gap between MNFF and mainsite these days. Favorite Bands: Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls (Canadian!), Riddle TM, Blue Rodeo, Cherry Suede, Bryan Adams, Keith Urban
A Little About Me: I started out believing HP was boring. The first movie was just coming out, and I'd heard of the books, but it sounded quite plain to me. He was just an orphan who has adventures. Well, one day I decided to read one of the books, so I picked out POA, because it had an interesting cover. I started to read...and I haven't stopped for 11 years now. Since then, I've been a regular reader of MuggleNet editorials, and a loyal member of MuggleSpace (which far surpasses facebook in design and awesome-ness!). I love talking to new people to the fandom, especially those reading the books for the first time. The magic of that first journey is something none of us have ever forgotten, and many want to experience again. Basically, stories are my life, which is why I hope to be doing an English major this fall. Oh, in regards to the photo, yes I am crazy...and the purse was my girlfriend's...

A Little About Me: Like most people my age, I grew up with Harry Potter. I was 8 when the first film came out and a High School senior when the last film was released. The Harry Potter series was the first books I ever read outside of school and contributed to my love of reading. I am a HUGE anglophile and I recently studied abroad in London. This gave me the opportunity to travel around the United Kingdom and Europe visiting popular Harry Potter location. Although a lot has changed over years, The Harry Potter franchise has always remained constant and I know that it will continue to be there for me far into the future.

I was immediately hooked and eventually started listening to MuggleCast, where I had the pleasure to serve as a transcriber, editor and ultimately Senior Editor for the show's transcripts. I left MuggleCast due to other commitments but always maintained my love for the fandom and jumped at the chance to work with MuggleNet's Social Media Team. A Little About Me: I became a Harry Potter fan back when the first movie was released. For some crazy reason unknown to me, I was reluctant to read the books, but the movie looked cool so I watched it and was immediately hooked. I've been a die-hard fan ever since and I can't imagine what my life would be like if I had never taken the plunge into Jo's wonderful world. I joined the Alohomora! transcription team in May 2012, and after some time spent transcribing and editing, I was lucky enough to join MuggleNet as a social media intern, and so far, it's been wonderful! When I'm not spending time with Harry and the gang, I enjoy reading across all types of genres, doing creative writing and going for runs around the neighborhood. I also just graduated from UCLA in 2012 where I studied English and French. I'm a total nerd and I love to talk HP, so don't be afraid to say hello sometime!

Pottermore House: Ravenclaw
Favorite Movies: All of the Harry Potter movies (of course!), Remember the Titans, The Lion King, and Beauty and the Beast
Favorite Music: Country! Especially Taylor Swift
Favorite TV shows: The Office, Gossip Girl, and Pretty Little Liars
A Little About Me: I've grown up with Harry Potter in so many ways. Whether it be buying and reading the books, listening to the books on tape, or watching the films, Harry Potter was always there for me. I am in the same age group as all of the main Harry Potter cast are so it really felt like they were growing up with me. I honestly can't imagine my life without Harry Potter. Harry Potter originally sparked my interest in reading and I am now an English Literature major at a small liberal arts college in Pennsylvania. Also, a fun fact about me is that in the eighth grade I was voted the most likely in my class to become the next J.K. Rowling. We'll see about that one!

Favorite TV shows: 30 Rock, Parks & Rec, Arrested Development, Mad Men, Doctor Who, Avatar: The Last Airbender
A Little About Me: I haven't been a Harry Potter fan since the very beginning, but I came pretty close. I started reading the series in 1999 when I was nearly seven. I was instantly obsessed. Since then, I've done many ridiculous fangirly things, including (but not limited to): decorating my house like Hogwarts for the release of Order of the Phoenix, making my parents pick me up a day early from summer camp so I could get Deathly Hallows at midnight, and not-so-sneakily stalking Emma Watson when she came to my college to see a concert.

Outside of the HP fandom, I'm a senior at Oberlin College, where I study Creative Writing and French. Currently, I work for Figment, where I turn my useless knowledge of pop culture into something useful.

Age: 23 (Birthday: December 30th)
Location: New Jersey
Pottermore House: Gryffindor
Favorite Movies: Amelie, Wall-E, The Goonies, LotR, X-Men
Favorite Music: Mostly alternative rock. My latest favorite is Bastille. I'm also into big band/swing, such as Glenn Miller
Favorite TV shows: Criminal Minds, Once Upon a Time, Suits, Warehouse 13, Doctor Who
A Little About Me: I discovered Harry Potter the summer before 5th grade and have been obsessed ever since. I still remember all the fun of going to the midnight release parties and coming up with crazy theories of what was going to happen in the next book or debating ships with friends. Even though the series is over now I don't think my love for it will ever end. Besides being a Harry Potter fan, I've just finished my undergrad degree in Communications and will be starting my Master's in Publishing in September. In my spare time I dabble in photography and digital art.

A Little About Me: I still don't know why my first potter book (POA) was in a vintage toy shop. But after paying $1 for SS in a yard sale, being gifted COS at age 7 and stumbling upon my cousin's GOF's awesome dragon cover I figured I had a calling for the strange. Since delving into the pages of the wicked wizarding world I have explored just that. HP taught me that every single experience you have, no matter how minuscule, is worth it and (with hard & smart work) leads to an incredible "walks through Hogwarts for the first time!" moment.

That's probably why outside of HP I've managed to tick off some unforgettable destinations (Paris, Prague, Vienna,London) on a scanty budget and am constantly looking (and saving) to travel more. I've run my own tarot card & palm reading business and have had wonderful and not-so-great work experiences in garment designing & production, business, publishing, social media, writing and being a PA. I've just graduated from secondary school and am preparing for a gap year which will see me through to NY, London and the Far East...I believe!

A Little About Me: I have been a Potterhead since 2005 after Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was released, however I have known about the boy wizard since 1999. The Potter books were the first novels that I ever cared about, and they have lead me to so many other enjoyable things. I got my first glimpse into the Potter fandom from MuggleNet in 2009 and fell in love with MuggleCast and FanFiction. I am a Hufflepuff with Ravenclaw tendencies. Now, my life revolves around Harry Potter, StarKid and Doctor Who and the rest just passes through. JK Rowling has also led me to other great authors such as Dan Brown.

In my real life I am studying to be a Graphic Designer. I love to travel, Venice being my favorite city. Plus in my free time you can find me surfing YouTube, taking walks by the beach, listening to music, or my nose buried in a book.
