Pacific Media Expo 2013: Anime/Manga Guest of Honor - Izumi Matsumoto

Oct 22nd 2013
LOS ANGELES, CA -- Join Pacific Media Expo (PMX) this year to welcome Izumi Matsumoto, artist and creator of Kimagure Orange Road, a popular anime and manga series featured in Weekly Shonen Jump. He is also credited with many short stories, nostalgic works such as the manga Sesame Street and an anthology entitled Graffiti. Mr. Matsumoto will be participating in a panel on Saturaday, November 9th, at 3:00 PM and an autograph session at 5:00 PM.

In addition to his works, Mr. Izumi Matsumoto is also known for spreading awareness of the condition known as SCSFLS or Spontaneous Cerebrospinal Fluid Leak Syndrome, a condition stemming from a traffic accident that occurred in his early childhood. The condition led to him taking a hiatus from his drawing career and luckily, after being diagnosed, he received proper treatment and was able to recover. He currently has plans to spread awareness through future works.

PMX is excited to welcome Mr. Izumi Matsumoto as a Guest of Honor for our 10th year.
