Virgin Media has announced that its customers will receive full coverage of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
With just 100 days left until the prestigious event, Virgin Media has revealed that the BBC and Eurosport will provide 'unbeatable' coverage at no extra cost. The firm said that this will be the first time ever that every Olympic sport will be available to watch live.
Aleks Habdank, director of digital entertainment at Virgin Media said: "With a full range of live channels in HD and the first Olympics in 3D, Virgin Media TV customers are going to be spoilt with an unbeatable experience for watching the 2012 London Olympics."
The service will vary depending on what hardware box is being used but will include standard and high definition channels, 3D channels and red button content. TiVo and V+ HD users will have the ability to record and watch up to three channels simultaneously.
Virgin Media said that its customers will be able to catch-up on Olympic action via its TV on-demand service.
"This year’s unprecedented breadth of viewing options will allow fans of any Olympic sport to watch their favourite events live and on demand, and with BBC and Eurosport 3D, viewers will be able to immerse themselves in the Games as never seen before." added Habdank.
