This year's combined 21st/22nd issue of Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine is revealing the cast, staff, and character designs for the new Rozen Maiden television anime on Thursday. The cast members from the previous anime projects are reprising their roles with two new additions, Chiemi Chiba and Ryota Ohsaka.

Mamoru Hatakeyama (Sankarea) is directing the new anime at Studio DEEN. Tomomi Mochizuki (House of Five Leaves, Fancy Lala) is writing and supervising the series scripts, while Kyuta Sakai (Sankarea, Steins;Gate, When They Cry - Higurashi) is serving as character designer and chief animation director. Shinkichi Mitsumune is returning from the previous Rozen Maiden anime projects to score the music, and Ali Project is again performing the opening theme song.

The new adaptation of Peach-Pit's manga will premiere this July on the TBS and BS-TBS television stations.

Peach-Pit launched the original manga in Gentosha's Monthly Comic Birz magazine in 2002 before switching to Young Jump in 2008. It inspired two 12-episode television anime adaptations (Rozen Maiden and Rozen Maiden - Träumend), the two-episode prequel Rozen Maiden: Ouvertüre in 2006, and the short special Rozen Maiden: Detective Kun-Kun.

Geneon Entertainment licensed the original series and Rozen Maiden - Träumend for release in North America in 2007. FUNimation Entertainment then signed a deal with Geneon Entertainment in 2008 to distribute both Rozen Maiden and Rozen Maiden - Träumend in 2008. Sentai Filmworks picked up and released Rozen Maiden, Rozen Maiden - Träumend, and Rozen Maiden: Ouvertüre in 2011.
