So great to see a commitment to product over profit be this successful! No wonder sriracha tastes so fantastic :)
If you're in LA on October 27th, go to the First Sriracha Festival: http://www.latimes.com/food/dailydish/la-dd-first-sriracha-festival-20131002,0,6822764.story#axzz2iTN1mXnB
That looks amazing
What I love the most is that the chilies they use are fresh and processed immediately after picked. That's what makes them competitive. The most fascinating part of this though is that the founder doesn't know where his sauce is distributed- and doesn't spend much time on social media. He's purely focused on quality, which I think is what makes it easy for them to be successful.
And the quality pays off!
This is great: "His unwillingness to compromise on quality means that the chilies for Sriracha need to be processed within a day of being picked. So Huy Fong’s Rosemead factory sits only an hour away from Underwood Family Farms, which has been the company’s only chili supplier for the past 20 years." That commitment to quality means so much. Also amazing that they don't have a sales staff and have never (!) advertised.
