Video: Motorola announces Droid Razr i with Intel Atom processor

Motorola Mobility introduced its first smartphone with an Intel Atom processor Tuesday. The Droid Razr i runs a 2.0 gigahertz Atom Z2460 processor, which is faster than current Atom chips clocked at 1.6 gigahertz and will result in smoother browsing and better video performance according to company execs.

The Droid Razr I has a 4.3 inch screen with a resolution of 960 by 540 pixels. Motorola was quick to point out advantages over Apple’s iPhone.

The smartphone has an 8 megapixel camera that can take up to 10 pictures a second.

It will start shipping in October to Europe and South America.
