GameSpot alumni Brian Ekberg joins us at EB Expo 2013 to answer a handful of questions from the community about Microsoft's flagship racing game, Forza 5
So basically, the only thing in Forza 5 that isn't possible on current gen is are the graphics. It's perfectly possible to have dedicated servers, as well as Cloud controlled AI on current gen. MS just made it easier/cheaper this time around.
Forza 5 simply feels rushed, with very few features taking actual advantage of the new generation. And of course there is the question about whether or not current Fanatic wheels will work on the One.
Forza has gone shite. Forza one and two were the best. Forza 4 is decent but bland and no tyre wear etc, seriously? Forza 5 will only have about 40 cars and everything is in the cloud>??? Not for me, wont be buying again.
if I knew I could ask him something I would have asked why did they drop the Rio de Janeiro track, and if they're planning on bringing new street tracks, because circuits are cooler to race with S-class cars but I have much more fun driving F- to A-class cars in street circuits...
Do we know howm many cars you can race against in a single race? I want
t least 20 cars in the field when I race , until then I won't be buying
any more racing games.
He really didn't answer the second question. The person asked if it was possible to put a motor from one manufacturer into a different one. That would be interesting to know, though I doubt it.
@H4num4n I'm fairly sure there is dynamic weather confirmed, sorry, I forgot where I heard that. I doubt that a fuel consumption option would be offered, though the realism would be appreciated.
@VeeArSick He said you can do mods similar to what we are accustomed to.
The problem with using, say, exact engines and tuning is that you have to get the OK from the creator and then would have to map that exactly in the game.

cool features, cloud computing and smart match
I would have liked to have heard about physics improvements...
It's been so long since I've seen Brian Ekberg. He's looking quite dapper.
Man, GameSpot had the best sports team in all the land.

Love it how quick the dashboard responds. I hope this stays so during the lifespan of the console.
I miss Brian Ekberg.I liked him when he used to host On the spot back in the day.
Quite every XOne's games have dedicated servers. That's really nice for real gaming community.

I like that I don't have to race with cheaters and jerks!
Forza 4 was worse compared to 2, so much behind paywalls and less cars i think.
Nice to see Brian on Gamespot again.
Cool, I got my question answered well.
Forza without cheaters or jerks.
Can't be bad.

I remember watching On the Spot episodes, hosted by Brian.
Nice to see Brian again!
wow i haven't see him in like 5 years
Brian! Damn, nice seeing him again.
Forza 5 FTW
will x1 sell ?
Pit stops and crew, option to enable tire wear and fuel consumption, weather and rally races. Implement this Turn10 and i will buy your game again.
Always good to see Brian, aside from actually developing, going over to Turn 10 has to be the coolest thing any of the GS alumni have done.
Bathurst in one week!

@Ferrybird Are you just trolling? 40 cars? Might want to take a look at the Forza website, lol
@MigGui The only reason I purchased Forza 4 was for the street cars, not the purpose built race cars.
@sunbeam4 Yes it will.
@sunbeam4 Of course. Didn't you hear, every manager in gamestop got one. Oh wait, those were given free.... then no...

@R3FURBISHED Yeah, you don't get it either.
