Crunchyroll to Simulcast Hourou Musuko/Wandering Son

Anime of two transgendered students to stream on January 13

The media-distribution website Crunchyroll has confirmed that it will simulcast Aniplex's Hourou Musuko (Wandering Son), the television anime adaptation of Takako Shimura's manga of the same name. The series will start on January 13 and be available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, and Portugal.

The story revolves around two fifth graders: Shūichi Nitori, a boy who wishes to be a girl, and Yoshino Takatsuki, a girl who wishes to be a boy. The anime adaptation was announced last March, when it was also revealed on Amazon that the manga's first volume would be published in English by Fantagraphics as part of its new manga line.
