Anime Expo to Host Voice Actress, Singer Miyuki Sawashiro (Updated)

Anime Expo announced on Tuesday that it is hosting voice actress and singer Miyuki Sawashiro (Durarara!!'s Celty, Arakawa Under the Bridge's Maria) at this year's convention, which will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 1 through July 4. Sawashiro has performed in more than 120 anime, including Beelzebub, Gosick, Kimi ni Todoke, Letter Bee and Persona -trinity soul-. Sawashiro also performed theme songs for Bakemonogatari, Di Gi Charat, Galaxy Angel and Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei. Sawashiro will sign autographs, attend a panel and hold a meet-and-greet with fans at the convention.

In commemoration of Sawashiro's appearance, the convention will host a a special screening of Arakawa Under the Bridge.

Anime Expo also announced that Good Smile Company president Takanori Aki will attend the convention. Aki worked as the producer on Black Rock Shooter, and the executive producer on Dog Days, Hana-Saku Iroha and Tantei Opera Milky Holmes. Good Smile Company produces the "figma" and "Nendoroid" lines of figures.

Other guests at this year's convention include virtual pop idol Hatsune Miku, Japanese pop trio Kalafina, president of Nippon Ichi Software Sohei Niikawa, television host/blogger Danny Choo and voice actor Vic Mignogna.
