Kuroshitsuji Anime Confirmed to Premiere This Fall

posted on 2008-07-11 03:26 EDT
Comedy manga centers on impeccable demon butler and his 12-year-old master

The next-issue preview in the August issue (released on July 10) of Gakken's Animedia magazine has confirmed that a Kuroshitsuji anime will premiere this fall. Yana Toboso draws the original Kuroshitsuji manga about Sebastian Michaelis, an impeccable butler who can carry out practically any task his master requires of him — partly because he is a demon. His current master is Ciel, the Phantomhive family head who is smart, business-savvy, and all of 12 years old.

The action situational comedy story has been running in Square Enix's Monthly G Fantasy magazine since 2006, and four volumes have been compiled and published. A free sample of the manga is available online in DHTML or Flash format.

The same next-issue preview in Animedia's current issue also indicates that the next Clannad anime project, Clannad After Story, will hold its premiere in the fall.
