The launch of not one, but two iPhones (the iPhone 5S and iPhone 6) will coincide with the release of iOS 7, according to International Business Times. Apple's latest mobile operating system is expected to arrive mid-September, the same time iOS 6 was launched. See also: iPhone 5S price in the UK.

"We don't think Tim Cook wants to mess with the successful Apple formula left behind by Steve Jobs, so we believe Apple will again follow this iOS release timetable by launching iOS 7 exactly 100 days after its introduction, on Sept. 18." said IBT. So the theory goes that the iPhone 5S (the follow-up to the iPhone 5) will be released two days after iOS 7 on 20 September. The iPhone 6 (the cheaper plastic model) is likely to be releases a week or two later on 27 September or on 4 October. The separate dates will avoid overly large queues and more of a logistical challenge.

So when will Apple announce the iPhone 5S and iPhone 6? Well if these dates are correct then we'll probably see the firm hold a press conference towards the beginning of the month – 10 September is IBT's prediction.

Furthermore, IBT said that it expects Apple to hold another event in October to introduce new iPads (the iPad 5 and iPad mini 2). It also possible this event could hold in store a new Apple TV model and maybe even Apple's rumoured iWatch.
