Dribble Oregon

The Portland Timbers, in conjunction with JELD-WEN Windows and Doors, are staging a statewide community tour to visit fans and celebrate soccer throughout the area this January. The second annual tour, dubbed “Dribble Oregon,” will feature appearances in six cities throughout the state of Oregon and SW Washington.

Saturday, Jan. 5: Vancouver, Wash.

  • Timbers Players: Forward Brent Richards and defender Ryan Kawulok
  • Youth Soccer Clinic – Clark County Indoor Sports Center from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; register online here (9:30-10:30 session now closed)
  • Community Event – Tree planting with Friends of Trees; 1:30 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 6: Pendleton

Saturday, Jan. 12: Medford

  • Timbers Players: Defender David Horst and goalkeeper Jake Gleeson
  • Community Event – Tree planting with Friends of Trees; 10 a.m. - at the end of Spencer Street
  • Youth Soccer Clinic – Santo Community Center from 2-5 p.m.; (Both clinic sessions are full)
  • Pub Event/Meet-and-Greet – 4 Daughters Irish Pub from 7-9 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 13: Eugene/Springfield

  • Timbers Players: Defender David Horst and goalkeeper Jake Gleeson
  • Community Event – Tree planting with Friends of Trees; 10 a.m. - Kick City Sports Park
  • Youth Soccer Clinic – Kick City Sports Park from 2-5 p.m.; (Both clinic sessions are full)
  • Pub Event/Meet-and-Greet – The Old Pad from 7-9 p.m.

Wednesday, Jan. 16: Klamath Falls

Saturday, Jan. 19: Astoria

  • Timbers Players: Midfielder Jack Jewsbury and defender Chris Taylor
  • Community Event – Tree planting with Friends of Trees; 10 a.m.
  • Youth Soccer Clinic – Astoria High School from 2-5 p.m.; register online here
  • Pub Event/Meet-and-Greet – Wet Dog Cafe from 7-9 p.m.

Most tour stops will include:

  • A local tree planting event with community partner Friends of Trees
  • A youth soccer clinic led by the club’s youth academy staff and players, as well as an autograph session with Timbers players and mascot Timber Joey.

    • All youth soccer clinics are set up for children between 5-13 years of age. Registrations are limited and handled on a first-come, first served basis.
  • A meet-and-greet with Timbers players and Timber Joey at a local pub or restaurant

All events are free to the public. Youth soccer clinics require registration in advance.
