Sakura-Con to Host Voice Actor Kappei Yamaguchi

Sakura-Con has announced the addition of Kappei Yamaguchi, Peter Fernandez and Wendy Powell to the 2009 event.

Voice actor Yamaguchi has performed the roles of Ranma (Ranma ½), Tombo (Kiki's Delivery Service), InuYasha (InuYasha), L (Death Note), Usopp (One Piece) and many more. Yamaguchi is often considered one of the most prolific voice actors in Japan, with roles in hundreds of anime, video-games and Japanese dubs of foreign films. This will be his first west coast appearance, his only other guest appearance at a North American anime convention was at Otakon 2008.

Peter Fernandez has been involved in the production of North American anime adaptations since the 1960s. He was involved, either as a voice-actor, director or producer with the English productions of Speed Racer, Astro Boy, Star Blazers and many more.

Wendy Powell is a Texas base voice actress best known for her portrayal of Envy in Fullmetal Alchemist and Misora Kasuga in Negima!?.

Previously announced guests for Sakura-Con 2009 include Jonathan Klein, Aaron Dismuke, Leah Clark and Todd Haberkorn among others.

Sakura-Con 2009 will take place at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in Seattle from April 10 -12.
