L'arc~en~Ciel Quake Relief Concerts Get Int'l Screenings

Theaters in Paris, London, NYC, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea to show concerts

The Japanese rock band L'Arc~en~Ciel announced on Friday that its 20th anniversary concerts on May 28 and 29 at Tokyo's Ajinomoto Stadium will be screened live in six theaters internationally as well as in Tokyo theaters. Those six international theaters are:

  • Paris (CGR Cinemas)
  • London (Apollo Piccadilly Circus)
  • New York (Big 59 Manhattan)
  • Taiwan (Vie Show Hsin Yi)
  • Hong Kong (MCL Cinema)
  • Korea (Cinus)

All proceeds from the concert and screenings will go to relief efforts for areas affected by the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake disaster (Higashi Nihon Daishinsai) of March 11. The concert will begin at 5:00 p.m. Japan Standard Time. A website for the event is available in Japanese, English, Korean, and Chinese.

L'Arc~en~Ciel has performed anime theme songs for Fullmetal Alchemist, DNA², Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Great Teacher Onizuka, Moribito - Guardian of the Spirit, and Rurouni Kenshin.
