Sorry to disappoint you, Lars. It's not a Liverpudlian's sense of humour but only a Gromitois'.

I don't know yet how much will be the various entrances for D1. But I can tell that the friendly match in Annecy next 5th september between Lyon and Barça (both feminine teams of course) will be very expensive : 12 € for the stand and 7 € for the bends.

1.FFC Frankfurt has just beaten Barça 8-1. Lyon will play for the first time of the season with its 12 French internationals and Schellin who will be all back agter the Olympics. Good and maybe painful test for Barça before the C1...

All top 5 teams have 3pts,there is no draw, and all the bottom 5 teams lost, I think this is the good start for the WPL

Newcastle United Women came from 2 goals down to win 3-2 away to Nottingham Forest Ladies all NUWFC goals came from Stacy Crooks, after the game Stacy said

“We knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game on a hot day but all the players worked extremely hard, kept the ball well especially in the second half and we showed them why we deserve to play in this league. Forest were a very physical side but the players battled just as hard, we made the ball work which showed just how good we are.  I’m a little bit in dream land after my hat-trick, we couldn’t have wished for a better start to our season. I’m just happy that we did it as a team. if it wasn’t for the girls those three goals would have never happened. Right through the team a brilliant performance which we need to grow on and keep getting better”

@WSU - Thank you so much, Gina ! Northern Division is 3rd division, right ? I mean 3rd level. A victory, fantastic !

But I noticed the ladies took two goals at home... tttt... no good... They need a superior goalie...

@Gromit Preston are in the Northern Division here. You will be pleased to know they won their opening match!

I can't see the name of Preston (Lancashire) team anywhere. Can someone tell me if there is a Ladies' team over there ? As you certainly know it's where I (Gromit) am supposed to live and I can't do nothing but support such a team. But is there one ?
