Your Guide to Adopting a Shelter Dog

Your Guide to Adopting a Shelter Dog

Dogs are known for their loyalty and ability to serve. Their keen sense of smell can sniff out explosives or drugs, track down fugitive felons, or find people trapped under rubble. In the home – as pets – they prove just as loyal. But some dogs never find a home. Abandoned, abused, and on the streets – the lucky ones find a temporary home at a shelter. International Homeless Animals’ Day is Aug. 17-18 – so, if you’d like a pet dog – why not think about adopting from a shelter?
