A man, with the help of his three sons, lynched his elder brother at Anandpur village under Tajpur police station in Samastipur district on Wednesday in a land dispute. Ramchandra Rai was digging the earth for some purpose . His elder brother Siyalal Rai objected to it. Enraged over the matter, Ramchandra and his three sons attacked Siyalal Rai with bamboo and lathis killing him on the spot. When Siyalal Rai's daughter-in-law Sulekha Devi tried to save his father-in-law , she too badly assaulted.

Kalmeshwar police have arrested man and his younger brother for their alleged involvement in a case of murder on Monday. Rajendra Tikhe, thrashed by Wanjari brothers, later succumbed to injuries at a hospital where he was rushed following the scuffle.

Chandrapur: Two brothers drowned in a farm tank on the outskirts of Mul town on Saturday afternoon. A group of four kids aged between 8 to 12 years had gone to take bath and fishing at the irrigation tank (Bodi). The tank had thick layer of mud at its bottom. Two brothers - Sanjay Bhoyar (10) and Nikhil (8) got stuck in the muddy bed of the tank water and drowned.

The Kurla police on Wednesday arrested two brothers -- Sallauddin Khan (41) and Aliuddin (45) -- reportedly for attempt made to kill garment businessman Mohammed Mallik (30). Police are searching for the three accused Kullamuddin Khan (42) for aiding the two brothers to attack Mallik. During the probe the police learnt that the trio brothers, scrap dealers, committed the offence over past rivalry. They attacked Mallik with iron roads injuring him seriously.

Suraj Artani and his younger brother Anand, along with their mother Madhu, have been booked for their alleged involvement in murder on Sunday at Bhagabai layout in Jaripatka. Following a dispute, Anand had stabbed to death Suraj's father-in-law victim Ramesh Chandi.

Akola: A man murdered his elder brother in front of the zilla parishad school at Tornala village in the bordering Washim district. The accused Raju Landkar (27) suspected that his elder brother Gajanan was attracted to his (Raju's) wife. This led to frequent quarrels between the brothers. They again had a fight when their mother intervened. Gajanan hit her with an iron pipe. In a fit of rage, Raju stabbed Gajanan with a sharp weapon killing him on the spot.
