Team Begrudged by Joe Tung for Unknown Reasons was composed of people begrudged by Joe Tung for unknown reasons:

II NormL II- Smells like dead.
Forgottenxone- Hates puppies.
Jeff McRae- Actually Jeff McRae. Crazy.
TGB Ender- Stick with spying.
Sharkish- Who's under the box now?

Team Bungie fell back on its team of dudes it calls in when they need to win. Surprisingly, Frankie’s presence is not an error:

GL1DE- H3 tester who also played GoW all last night. If he hit X before RB to reload last night at any point, I’d be impressed.
XxAlurxX- Same deal. I think I saw him run up to a ledge on Lockout and press A to take cover. Didn’t work out so well.
KP- I don’t have GoW yet, so every time I jumped off Lockout it was purely due to stupidity.
Frankie- Has a crazy ability to attain unreleased MS products. It’s like his super power. He should be on Heroes.
New0001- Wore the grudge like a crown.

Game 1:
Neutral Bomb
Beaver Creek, normal weapons
Game Duration: 7:10
General Tone of Game: Wha?

The beginning of the game started off really rocky, there was network tomfoolery abound. After things settled down, though, the Bungie team fell into its roles. I stayed on defense the whole time while the rest of the team attacked. The plan didn’t work out too well for the first plant of the game. I stood atop our base with a combo but without a clue, as they planted the bomb. I didn’t realize that they were planting it until I heard Sharkish whining about how long it took to arm the bomb. I dropped in just in time to be blown up.

After that, Bungie got its act together. Frankie grabbed the bomb off of the spawn and brought it part of the way into their base, where Joe picked it up and brought it into the bomb plant area. After that he didn’t encounter much resistance, as all of the Begrudged were tied up outside of the base. Our second plant went almost as smoothly, the only hurdle Joe faced was having to beat in someone’s face with the bomb.

Bungie’s third bomb plant was pretty hectic. Same start to it, Frankie brings it in to the base while Tung picks it up after he dies and brings it the rest of the way. GL1DE and Alur sat on top of the base knocked down the Begrudged every time they tried to get on top. KP watched his teammates' emblems flicker different colors from on top of his base while chatting with hot chix on the interwebs. There was a lot of commotion in the base as Joe was planting, but those GL1DE and Alur held ‘em off long enough for Joe to arm and plant.

3 to 1. Bungie wins.

Game 2:
Team Slayer
Lockout, normal weapons
Game Duration: 11:27
General Tone of Game: Choppy

The second game was Bungie’s call; we went with Lockout TS to 100. The Begrudged spawned on the sniper tower, but the fusion coils were blown before they could get to the sniper so it became a non-factor. Surprisingly, while control for the area was a focus of the game, the sniper rifle itself wasn’t a large factor. It never surfaced as a significant threat to either team.

The shotgun was more of a threat, actually. Sharkish sat atop the sniper tower with it for a while, blasting everyone who jumped up from the front. She killed me that way about five times before I thought better of my strategy. I went and got a few stickies, then jumped onto the lip just in front of the sniper spawn, at which point she taunted me to come forward, so I jumped just high enough to see her and stuck her face. That high didn’t last too long, however, as I stuck myself in the face about 20 seconds later. Don’t ask, I don’t know. I didn’t even remember hitting L. I was standing up against a wall and all of the sudden, there it was, a bright blue spider all up in ma grill.

The other carnage zone was the top of the BR tower. Both teams got a lot of cheap kills and/or assassinations upon unsuspecting enemies there, with and without some fancy jumping. The game was close up until about 20 kills, when Bungie started to separate itself from the Begrudged. It was never dominant, but it certainly wasn’t close.

100 to 76. Bungie wins.

Game 3: One Flag
Zanzibar, normal weapons
Game Duration: 13:52
General Tone of Game: Icing on the cake of vengeance

They chose the third and final game, from which several memorable quotes emerged... Frankie: “That was awesome, KP and I both stuck her.” Joe: “Did it look like she had balls?” That’s pretty much why you never hear from him, in a nutshell. It's for your own good, really.

It was the standard four round Zanzi one flag that you’d find in MM. The first round was us on defense. I grabbed rox, Joe went for the shotty and GL1DE ran for the sniper. I got a double off an incoming hog and we pretty much locked down the base from that point on. They moved the flag about ten feet or so.

Our first offensive round went swimmingly. GL1DE grabbed our sniper and I ganked theirs from Frohman. We sniped the inside of their base as Frankie opened their gate, dropped down from above and moved the flag towards the door. Eventually they took me down, but not GL1DE, who survived outside of their base long enough to help escort the flag back to our base.

Their second offensive round went twice as well as the first, as they moved the flag 20 feet. They actually had a decent setup outside of our base, with both snipers. But Alur and I took them down at the same time (it wasn’t coordinated, just lucky timing) so they couldn’t cover each other. They managed to get it outside of the base, but we were able to hold them off until the end of the round.

Our second offensive round started off much different. They rushed the sniper at the same time I did and covered it with the turret, which put a quick end to that strategy. Through the course of the match though, we wore them down and ultimately got the flag out of the door and got it back to the base under cover of battle rifles and sticky nades.

2 to 0. Bungie wins.

Thanks to the Begrudged for snapping our losing streak, putting up with Joe’s crap and most importantly, for being really cool folks to play. Crying Game episode aside...

Walshy's 2nd - Halo 2 Montage

Posted by urk at 4/15/2010 9:19 AM PDT

Goodbye to you.

Killtacular.

"This is the amazing Walshy's second montage on youtube. No description needed, but I'll give one anyway. Walshy is an amazing Halo 2 player, and is on one of the best teams, Final Boss, with players like him, Ogre 1, Ogre 2, and Strongside. This montage is a very honest montage with great editing and gameplay. Many snipes, sticks, multikills, and no scopes etc. I hope you enjoy it and leave a comment for me to read!?"
