And so, to lead us into the longest 30 days of waiting in the history of shooters set in the year 2552, are a series of quotes from a sampling of the Bungie team on the process, the three years of brutal terror and horror that brought us to this point.
Tyson Green, Head Troublemaker: “Hey, there’s room on that tattoo to make it Nov. 29, right? No?”
Chris Carney, Chief Hole-Hider: "I’m a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride."
David Candland, User Interface Surgeon: "Lather, rinse, repeat."
Mat Noguchi, Evil Robot: "I hope your Xbox catches on fire."
Nathan Walpole, Svelte Lead Animator: “I hate the Scarab.”
Chris Butcher, speaking to Cuban: “Just because you’re playing on Legendary doesn’t make you a legend.”
Harold Ryan, Test Manager: "Sleep is for the dead"
Dave Dunn, Environmental Activist: "Gold?! More like fools gold!"
Luke Timmins; Supra-Timmmay: "Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue."
Marty O'Donnell, Music Maestro: "Not with a bang, but a simper.”
Jaime Griesemer, Head Assassin: "Trying to catch jellybeans fired from a shotgun with your face."
Curtis Creamer: Master of Seduction, "PorkChop Sandwiches!"
Paul Russel: "Soul-crushing disillusionment."
Domenic Koeplin, Head Wootist: “Some things are better left unsaid”.
Brian Jarrard, Community Killa: "Is it OK to play with ourselves?"
Harold Ryan, Test Bastard, Quote 2: "The bullet is in the air, but we still gotta move the princess out of the way so she doesn't get killed."
Joseph Staten, Auteur-Kommissar: "Not with a bang, but a whimper. No, wait. Better make that the other way around."
Alta Hartmann, Bungie Princess: "Life is a like a box of cherries, sometimes you get the really yummy ones with the gooey caramel and other times you get the gross raspberry creme -blam!- ones that taste like ass."
Sketch's Addendum:
WEEKLY UPDATE!
The latest Weekly Update is better than ever. Mere text alone can't do justice to this momentous occasion so to spice things up, we've got the first ever VIDEO edition of the update. Get a glimpse inside the Bungie Towers as Frankie and I give you a tour of the Studio and bump into a few familiar faces along the way.
Currently, only a Windows Media version is available for viewing but our friends at HBO and Mythica.org are working on setting up Quicktime versions as well as a BitTorrent seed for easier downloads (this is a peer-to-peer service). We'll post more info on those outlets once they are available. For now, help yourself to what we've got:

Homework
And, since we've still got a loooong 29 days to go before the game actually arrives on retail shelves, why not spend the days getting yourself prepared for

And lastly, if you're into gaming magazines, be sure to check out the newest issues of XBN and EGM, both of which feature the first ever glimpse of Halo 2's single player campaign as well as new multiplayer info. You might also start to see a certain Spartan makingappearances on the television in the near future as well. So, the game might be done, but there's still a lot going on between now and the 9th. Stay tuned, we're almost there!
