Massive Halo 2 Net Updates!
The gloves are off and websites all over the world are reporting on our recent Gamer's day, where we invited the online press and some lucky community fansites to come and play the Halo 2 Beta. The beta is a test version of the game, played on real Xbox Live equipment, across the internet.
We'll put the shots up ourselves next week, after the other sites have had a chance to digest them, and we'll bring you our own, insider guide to what (was) new in the Beta.
The people we invited seemed to really enjoy the game, and you can read a bunch of reports here:
IGN's hands-on report
"Bungie has finally decided to bust open the multiplayer treasure chest and let us run our hands through its riches."
1UP.com's report includes a chance to ask questions.
And I should point out, there IS water in Waterworks now! Creepy water!
GameSpot's article is a lovely multiplayer hands on.
And about that video. I really AM that horrible looking. Sorry ladies.
Gamespy's Will Tuttle gives his impressions.
Will doesn't say so, but the palm trees have real coconuts in them.
TeamXbox focuses on the new screenshots.
But the cheeky blighters put it up against Unreal. Which admittedly is a very nice looking game.
GameDaily is in on the action too, with a nice report on the beta.
And Rampancy.net is in on the roundup action too
“Wind Power Station 7 sits as a mute reminder of the EAP’s late 25th-century attempt at re-nationalization.”
East African Protectorate, btw…
And last but not least, HBO!
