Photographer Benny Lam took these overshot photos for a campaign by the Society for Community Organisation to highlight the plight of poor people in Hong Kong cramped into tiny rooms, often subdivided flats. They are typically home to single people, the elderly and the jobless - people who cannot afford anything else. The smallest of these tiny living spaces measures just 28 square feet and is rented by an unemployed single man. According to Soco about 100,000 people in Hong Kong live in one of these apartments.
