Full Moon's Tanemura Ends Manga About Idol Group Fudanjuku

Arina Tanemura draws 7 stories about idol group Nakano Fujo Sisters' male alter ego

This year's 22nd issue of Shueisha's Margaret magazine confirmed on Thursday that Arina Tanemura is ending her Fudanjuku Monogatari (The Fudanjuku Story) manga in the next issue on November 5.

Fudanjuku is actually the male alter ego of the seven-member female idol group Nakano Fujo Sisters (Yatterman). The members of Nakano Fujo Sisters (both as themselves and as Fudanjuku) openly present themselves as otaku. Tanemura — the creator of Full Moon O Sagashite, The Gentlemen's Alliance Cross, and Sakura Hime: The Legend of Princess Sakura — decided to draw a shōjo manga of Fudanjuku when she attended the group's concert for the first time.

The manga ran as scheduled in seven self-contained chapters — one for each of the members. The compiled book volumed for the manga is slated for early next year.
