News Disney Gains Rights to Stan Lee's Pow! Entertainment

ICv2 reported on Sunday that Disney gained "enhanced rights to the creative output of Pow! Entertainment as well as exclusive consulting services." Disney also invested US$2.5 million into this company that was launched by Stan Lee, co-creator of America's Spider-Man and X-Men from Marvel Comics. On the same day, Walt Disney Studios finalized its acquisition deal with Marvel.
Pow! Entertainment is overseeing the collaboration between Stan Lee and animation studio Bones in the Heroman anime series.
Pow! Entertainment is also producing a separate manga series called Ultimo with manga creator Hiroyuki Takei (Shaman King), Shueisha's Jump Square magazine, Viz Media's Shonen Jump magazine, and the Sony Music Entertainment subsidiary Dream Ranch.
In 2008, Lee was developing an animated television series named Quartz with GDH, which was the corporate parent of the Gonzo anime studio. Pow! Entertainment still names Heroman and Ultimo on its online project list; however, the Quartz animated project is no longer listed.

La Corda d'Oro GN 17For reverse harem fans or even those leery of the genre, La Corda d'Oro has consistently been an enjoyable story about both music and romance, and maybe even the romance of music. If its ending is not as conclusive as one might have wished, it is still a good one.
Sleeping Moon GN 1If you're looking for hardcore yaoi romance, this is not the series for you, but if you enjoy a supernatural tale with ominous overtones and the possibility of more serious romance in the next volume, give Sleeping Moon a chance.

If you always thought about picking this title up but never got around to it then this is the version that you want. Newcomers will find a fun couple of fantasy adventure hours that will consistently entertain without straining your brain.
With this omnibus, we find ourselves caring a lot more about what happens, not just in terms of the story, but to the characters as well.
Tragicomedy is not unknown in the manga realm, and Sankarea just may be a very good entry into that genre, and this introductory volume offers us sadness, hope, and humor with a dollop of fanservice to top it off.
Black Lagoon: Second Barrage DVDs 2 and 3Plentiful violent action, oodles of profanity, character background insights, occasional humor, and much more collect into one nasty package as the series' final two story arcs play out. Far from brainless, this is easily one of the elite action series of the past few years.
