Tecmo Koei has fired off the first gameplay trailer for Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, which confirms the game will be out on Xbox 360 and PS3 in 'early 2014'.
Yaiba is a zombie-themed Ninja Gaiden spin-off created by Keiji Inafune, and is being developed as a collaboration by Team Ninja and Spark Unlimited, the studio currently developing Lost Planet 3 for Capcom.
Tecmo Koei has entered into a licensing agreement with Epig Games to use the Unreal Engine 3 for Yaiba.
The game stars resurrected evil ninja Yaiba Kamikaze, who seeks revenge against Ninja Gaiden's leading man Ryu Hayabusa, who apparently killed Kamikaze.
