Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 is the fourth-to-latest Tiger Woods golfing video game in the Tiger Woods PGA Tour series from Electronic Arts. It was released in North America on August 28, 2007 for the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii, PC, Mac OS X, Nintendo DS, and PSP. It was the second to last version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour to be offered for the PC, since the release of 2012: The Masters.

Technical problems [edit]
As of the North American launch, the game has been plagued with many bugs and technical problems, more notably with the Xbox 360 version. Known bugs include system "freezing" and crashing,[1]
The PSP version also has a quite interesting glitch. In PGA tour mode, during a season, certain challenges become impossible to complete due to program errors. Most notably, during a challenge in which a golfer must master challenging shots from the rough, the avatar tees off from the top of a tree and the entire course is upside down. Regardless of how hard or straight the ball is hit, the result of any swing is an out of bounds shot, making it impossible to hole out in less than the 10 shot limit.
There are also reported problems with the uploading of pictures to the EA servers for the Photo Game Face feature. There seem to be problems mainly when the user attempts to browse for pictures on their computer.[2]
One supposed glitch that allows you to take shots from the water prompted EA to make a video proclaiming that Tiger can actually walk on water.[3]

The Xbox 360, PS3, and DS versions of the game received generally positive reviews from critics.
The Xbox 360 version received an average score of 80% based on 49 reviews on the review aggregator Game Rankings,[5] and an average score of 80 out of 100 based on 45 reviews on Metacritic.[6]
The PS3 version received an average score of 79% based on 30 reviews on Game Rankings,[7] and an average score of 79 out of 100 based on 29 reviews on Metacritic.[8]
The DS version received an average score of 82% based on 10 reviews on Game Rankings,[9] and an average score of 81 out of 100 based on 10 reviews on Metacritic.[10]
The Wii, PS2, Windows, and PSP versions of the game received mixed reviews from critics.
The Wii version received an average score of 74% based on 29 reviews on Game Rankings,[11] and an average score of 72 out of 100 based on 24 reviews on Metacritic.[12]
The PS2 version received an average score of 68% based on 12 reviews on Game Rankings,[13] and an average score of 65 out of 100 based on 10 reviews on Metacritic.[14]
The Windows version received an average score of 62% based on 6 reviews on Game Rankings,[15] and an average score of 61 out of 100 based on 6 reviews on Metacritic.[16]
The PSP version received an average score of 75% based on 7 reviews on Game Rankings,[17] and an average score of 72 out of 100 based on 8 reviews on Metacritic.[18]
