If it wasn't for my iphone and my macbook I wouldn't be able to keep my life in order.
Apps like Any do with its google crome applet, Fantastical a wonderful calendar app that syncs with my mac, and Edmodo to keep up with all my students course work from my phone. My apple products help me keep my classroom running smoothly and gives me more time to focus on whats important in the small amount of time I have everyday.

Switching to a Mac, I purchased iBank for the Mac. I also purchased iBank mobile for my iPhone and iPad, as well as had my wife purchase it. Now, while either one of us is out shopping, we enter purchases on the spot, and sync to the Mac when we get home. It's cut the amount of time I spend doing bills/finances in half-or more.

I am a zendesk power user - I've already set up three start up companies with it in Montreal! I have to admit that the zendesk app has made my life much easier. I can work from the road, from coffee shops, from board rooms ... sometimes even from the bathroom (let's pretend i didn't say that). It's definitely improved my team's productivity as well, as the product expert recently took a trip and was able to work from the train as well. She loved it.

Thx ZENDESK for an awesome app! Productivity ensued!

I am a senior citizen with a senior citizen husband, and I am caring for an even more senior Mother who is 88 years old. I use so many apps to help us such as the flashlight, phone book, maps, calculator and email. But the most important by far is the use of Drop Box.

I keep a running list of all our medications in Drop Box so no matter who has to go to a new doctor, ER, or pharmacy, I will have on my iPhone or iPad exactly what each one of us takes, the dose and all other details of that medication.

Every time something changes, I can type on my computer and add to the list and have the comfort of knowing that we are protected from any drug mishaps because I am prepared. This has been so necessary with my Mother and her heart condition and other problems that it has been a life-saver, and that isn't using a cliche.

Apps have changed the way we work and play in so many ways. Tablets like the iPad and such can now allow us to have information in our hands virtually any where we go. We can now use this to work, study, and socialize - even at the same time!

Apps like OneNote help me stay synced with other devices and allow me to work in one location and have my work instantly available somewhere else. The same goes for apps like DropBox and iCloud syncing. Using Pages I can create and format documents that can easily be shared with friends, family, co-workers, etc.

I'd appreciate the chance to win an iPad Mini as I no longer have an iPad, and I sure would like one to continue my work at home and at my non-profit.

Thank you. :)

Yelp has helped me tell everyone about my favorite place to eat and find out what's good when I'm in new areas. Best bowl of Pho in Redondo Beach? Found it on Yelp. Good pizza in North Beach? Yelp. Best Burmese in the Bay? Ok, I stumbled across it but Yelp let me proclaim my love for Mingalaba to everyone.

By allowing me to check in to each place it also helps give credibility to my reviews. Users can see (also from their app) that I've been to Sunrise Cafe 40 times so I think I know what I'm talking about when it comes to their food and service.

And what's better? I can take pictures of my beautiful meals and upload them to Yelp for other foodies to see! Now when someone is looking for a place they can drool over their phone or iPad as they see just how perfect that steak looks or how amazing that browned cheese looks on the crock of that French Onion soup from Arthur's Steakhouse in North Brunswick, NJ as they crave to reach into the photo and pull that cheese away so they can get a taste.

Yelp my friend has made deciding what to eat so much easier.

So there is one app that must stay on my phone at all times. That would be the Starbucks app. It is my gateway to promote functional blood to caffeine levels by making sure that my cash and Starbucks card are on a first name basis relationship.

In all seriousness, the Starbucks app is a valuable tool when I travel. It reliably finds the nearest Starbucks and readies the Passbook app for quick use through a drive-thru. And unlike the Android counterpart, the Starbucks app grants direct links to iTunes downloads for free. Plus, I like to play with the Starbucks stars animation when I'm bored. :)

As a Medical student the iPad and its huge library of Medical Apps has been indispensable in my Education and Patient interactions. Being able to organize and annotate the Huge volumes of Readings and Texts on a device that lasts me 10-12 hours on one charge means my Backpack stays light, making the Bike Ride doable, and I can stay in the Library until I've gotten through the needed material. (Apps: iAnnotate,Pages,Keynote,Dropbox)

As I enter my Clinicals/Rotations, Its amazing to be able to pull up full interactive 3-D models of the Human Body and illustrate to patients exactly how their body works (App:Visible Body 3D, Netters Atlas,Heart Pro III). The Apps bridge the communication Gap between Patients and their Health Care Providers by allowing a familiar medium illustrate the Importance of their health and well being like never before. Most Health Care Management Apps are low cost or Free and being able to show Patients Apps that they themselves can Download and navigate on their own device opens up avenues of Familiarity and Communication that were not available previously. (Apps:My FitnessPal,Baby Bump,My Days,Diabetes In Check)

At the end of the day, the Same device that I used earlier in the day to explain a Surgical Procedure to a Patient, Rests comfortably on my lap as I recline on my couch to catch up on emails and News (Apps:drawMD,Flipboard,Twitter). The same device that showed a Diabetic Patient an Apps that helps them journal their Blood Sugar levels throughout the week allows me to enjoy a Movie with my Wife at the end of the day.(Apps:Glooko, Glucose Buddy,Netflix, iTunes)

Apps are changing People's ability to Organize and Manage their lives easier and in one Convenient Place, their Phone or Tablet. In the realm of Education Apps allow all learning styles to be engaged in meaningful ways that not only facilitate but accelerate Understanding. In the Realm of Health Care, Patient Management and Education are leading the way towards a Healthier Person.

The Future looks bright!

Apps, to me, are like these minions of Despicable Me – great little helpers that are there for you in nearly any situation. Without my Calendar, I’d be Lost. An app called Fantastical shows me all upcoming events (and there are many, most of them being meetings and lots of birthdays as well) and wakes me up when it’s time to take my medicine, or drag my lovely dog to the vet.

The amount of „You’ve Got Mail“ sounds I receive a day confirm that Mail is my most important application. A True Lie, if I’d say that it’s not the first thing I check in the morning and the last thing I catch up on before having my Eyes Wide Shut.

As you included me in your infographic, you already know that I’m one of the 47% of active agents that are using a Zendesk mobile app. My personal third top activity on mobile usage next to scanning queues and triaging tickets would be answer tickets on the go. I love that in cooperation with TextExpander.

Skype and Path are my personal favorites when it comes to private use because they connect me with my family and friends who are spread around the world. It is a blessing being able to talk to and see them face to face. That feeling of long distance, it’s Gone.

Evernote and Day One have encouraged me on going paperless. Evernote is the place where I’ve got nearly all my stuff stored. Day One is my app of joice when it comes to journaling because it simply works. It also syncs via Dropbox, has a wonderful UI and comes with a lot of other neat little features like exporting your entries to PDF.

Games I don’t have many on my phone but the handful I do have installed can keep me entertained for hours. It’s due to Bejeweled that I spent over an hour on the toilet, 95% of the time not needing to use it.
I probably never was that addicted to a game as I was to Temple Run. I’m really looking forward to the day when I beat my longest TR run of 35.590m in real life! This moment I’m going to track with Runtastic – as I do with all of my sportive activities. If you happen to have the Runtastic app installed as well, you’re invited to hit the cheer button. Crowd cheering by people from all over the world you don’t even know has to be fun and one of the coolest things. Yes.

How have apps changed my life? Wow what a question. I am old enough to remember when personal computers were thousands of dollars, very heavy, and hard drives were measured in double digit megabytes. I thought that the personal computer changed our lives...it did, but mobile has gone a step further.

Today it is hard to imagine not having the Internet, games, movies at my fingertips with my smartphone. Being able to find out what the weather forecast is in real time or getting and responding to emails immediately vs having to go home and turn on my computer (You got mail!) It is amazing times we live in.

Back to the question-so how have apps changed my life? Apps and the mobile industry have helped me be a better father and husband. Finding gas stations and prices while on our family vacation, not to mention the closest fast food place. Getting movies tickets or renting a movie for the kids. Downloading Angry Birds and letting the kids get the high score (which is not hard to do). Keeping up with our favorite sports teams and tournaments. All of these are made possible by apps.

For me, apps have allowed me to keep up with my favorite technology sites and blogs and to touch base with friends I have not seen in years. I often wonder how many more friends from college I would have stayed in touch with if we had email and Internet back then.

My favorite apps are the ones that help me do what I need to do each and every day. Sorry if I rambled on a bit. I popped back up to see the "details" of this contest. I guess I should mention I have the iTouch 5 (my wife and son have the iTouch 4) which is great and serves us well, but I would not mind getting the iPad mini. The larger screen would definitely help my eyes out!

Finally apps have changed my thinking. Any time I hear about a new website or product, my first question is "Do they have an app?"

There are tons of apps in the appstore and its quiet hard to choose just one but since an ipad mini could be mine i will definitely try my best to narrow it down to one. I think my must have favorite app would have to be apps like Appzilla2 thank God for apps like this. You wouldnt believe the apps i have discovered that are amazing apps/games that i had never heard of. Not because they arent popular or because they are terrible but because there are SO many out there its quiet hard to find them all. It doesnt matter if you are just sharing a device with someone and are new to the appstore or a veteran you will be sure to discover a plethora of apps you never knew was out there. I am very grateful to all the Devs and to Apple in general for the iDevices and apps bc if not for that this momma would be lost❤❤❤❤!!
I know I am suppose to only choose one app i believe but it has to be said the app i absolutely ADORE is ibooks! What an amazing app!! I honestly didn't even care for reading much at all until i got my hands on a device and read my first book on the ibooks app!! Wow, it was love at first sight & i gotta say i now have such a huge appreciation for books bc of the ibooks app!! I guarantee if you think you don't like reading get a idevice of any type go to the Appstore & get ibooks app get any book out there and be ready for a live you never knew existed!! The highlight and underline feature wow and the way you turn the page just like a book is beautiful. One amazing app that i def would buy a device just simply bc i want to read ebooks on ibooks app!!!

I wouldn't be able to live with out my remote desktop client iTap RDP. Having to log in to various servers is a breeze while on the go. The mobility is the greatest thing. I can work from home or the coffee shop or wherever because of that app. I use it on my MacBook Pro as well as my iPhone 4, I will upgrading to the 5 in July. I would give up my kidney before I gave up my mobility.

I jus love the apps that make my apple device work better and process faster, regardless of which device I'm on, only because all or most apps are transferred across devices, that's the best part of owning an apple device, I would just love checking out the apple mini, jus to knit pick which apps I want on it that flows with my business life and private life, so far my private life has been covered by android, I've been testing apple devices for my private life yet have yet to be swayed over completely.

As a new mom, I thought it'd be cool to purchase an app centered around babies for my iPod. Baby Goggles is an interesting app in that you can take photos and it'll show you exactly how an infant sees (different colors) the environment around them. I love it and would recommend this app to new moms/dads :)

**oops, sorry for the double post. digital life = a work in progress**

I was, admittedly, a slow iPad adopter.
I've always been a paper purist (yes, with a Moleskine though far from a hipster, I assure you).

One day I lost our company's strategy document...written on a piece of paper I snagged from the printer (of course). I figured I'd solve the problem by buying a notebook...but a thin one since I have notebook-commitment issues (they're never around when I really need them). I filled that one up and went on to the next one, which was great until I needed the notes I wrote on the first notebook (now "archived" somewhere). So I got a bigger notebook... it ended up sun-bleached, coffee-stained, and just all around busted up. I would forget it places, panic, and retrieve it (somehow it always picked up new stains during this time too....gross).

Then, I found GoodNotes (cue cheesy music-from-the-heavens). I record all my notes and sketches digitally and the iPad is too valuable (read: expensive) for me to *not* remember to take when I leave a coffee shop, restaurant, or other random place I have chosen to work. I clear out pages that are no longer relevant (so awesome), re-sort pages, and send sketches/notes directly via PDF to my co-workers. I even use it + dropbox to download forms and fill them out all digitally. Goodbye printer!

It's been pretty sweet with GoodNotes so far and when I do spill coffee on my iPad (not that that's happened...) it doesn't leave gross stains. That is my digital life. :)

I am a college professor - so I love Attendence2 - which allows me to keep track of who's skipping classes. I also have started to use Socrative as an inclass polling software. I can ask questions and no one has to raise their hands - they plug their answer into their iPod/iPhone/webrowser (oh yes and android device) and I get instant results.

I also love my Nike+ app, as I am a runner. And I love the weight watchers app for tracking my meals.

When it comes to organization - I love Awesome Note for keeping track of all my classes and my household.

Meant to say that I use Attendence2 and Socrative on my iPad....Nike+ on my iPhone. And the others on both.

I work in support and support of a lot of different systems - PCs, Macs, Linux. Keeping thing straight is vital and difficult.
Evernote lets me take notes complete with screenshots on what ever platform I am on. I can access the notes from my Iphone or Ipad.
I spend a lot less time scratching my head and more time getting things done.
My hairline owes a lot to Evernote.

Siri is the app that has totally changed my life. I do a lot of driving and I used to try and operate my phone at the same time I was driving. Admittedly not a safe practice. So now I can set an appointment by talking to Siri without having to touch my phone more than one touch. I can send an email I can read my text messages and most importantly I can have Siri remind me to do a task when arriving at work, leaving work, or arriving home, or when arriving at the store.

Often times my wife would ask me to pick something up on the way home from work and I would forget. That doesn't happen anymore with my pal Siri. I just tell Siri to remind me to pick the item up as it when I'm leaving work in the notice comes right up on my phone

This is a question I hear all the time from my friends that want to switch to an iPhone or recently have switched to an iPhone...where to start?

My first page of my iPhone 5 including the dock are all mixed folders that hold dozens of apps ranging from the super common apps such as Facebook and Pandora all the way to the amazing-yet-not-very-well-known apps such as Streamweaver (which lets you and up to 3 people make a video together with 3 different iDevices) and Waze (smarter navigation that collects data while you drive as well as from other people and sources). Of course I can't live without the apps that EVERYBODY has and loves, but its the hidden gem apps that make having an iPhone (and iPad) so unique and make everyday a crazy adventure of finding the latest and greatest yet-to-be-discovered apps.

I am a student in college and as soon as I wakeup I look at my phone to see any calendar alerts for the day as well as weather alerts that I have texted to me every morning from IFTTT. With the Pebble app (and the watch itself), I can go about my day and check all of my notifications without ever taking my phone out of my pocket which definitely comes in handy while driving or in class. I also take off my Jawbone UP band and plug it into my phone so I can see how well I slept the night before (and see how many steps I took) and if I met my goals. If anyone wants to know the same information about their sleep or steps, I'd recommend SleepCycle and Moves (free apps that don't need any additional hardware). I also weigh myself on my Withings scale which then uploads my data to the Withings app on my phone which helps me keep track of my weight and BMI. When it comes to looking at my calendar and reading my email, I use the Apple apps here and there but recently I have found even better alternatives: Mailbox and Tempo, which are "smarter" apps that allow you to do more with your email and your calendar. Mailbox saves you so much time by letting you mark emails with several different swiping motions and Tempo links up with other services and starts "learning" about you and can even write Happy Birthday on your friends' Facebook walls automatically!

Before I get my day started I love to read and watch the news (especially the Technology sections) and what better way to do it than with an entire suite of innovative news aggregators. Pulse, Flipboard, Thirst, Frequency and Editions are all amazing apps that most people don't know about that can be customized and can learn what you're interested in so you can read more articles that would interest you. Additionally, USA Today, AP Mobile, and Engadget always provide interesting articles.

When I'm in the car, I load up one of my music apps either Spotify, Soundcloud, 8tracks, the stock Music app, or occasionally Pandora, and queue up some tunes to make the trip more enjoyable. But I don't stop there, I always multitask and I load up my police-scanner app Trapster in the background AND my traffic app Waze which tells me which roads to avoid, how long my trip will ACTUALLY take, how bad the traffic is, and many other crazy things you could never get from using Apple or Google Maps. If I'm in someone else's car and I hear some new music, I load up either SoundHound or Shazaam and I can not only see the name of the song and click youtube links for later, but I can also watch the lyrics in real-time as if it was karaoke. When I go on road trips with my friends or fiancé, I never hesitate to offer up my video services for anyone that wants to watch or listen to shows or movies. Netflix, HBO GO, MAX GO, Hulu, Crackle, ePiX, SHO Anytime, JOOST, Trailers, and UVERSE provide me with pretty much unlimited entertainment options for any crowd. If I need to use the time on the road to study, I can always load up a lecture from my classes that sync right to my phone via iTunes or if I want to learn about something new I load up TED and listen to interesting lectures about Health, Technology, and many other subjects.

At home, I love being able to sit on the couch and enjoy my entertainment system without a thousand remotes. Like many others, I have an Apple TV hooked up to my TV and speakers and I love controlling it with my phone and remote streaming whatever's on my iPhone, iPad, and Macbook Pro. But I don't have to use the TV remote to start turning everything on, not when I have apps like Harmony which connects to my Google TV box and lets me control my TV, Speakers, and Cable Box all from my phone and/or iPad. Before I had the Google TV, I used an infrared stereo plug-in that worked with the app blinQ which is a cheaper alternative for anyone interested. If I'm not at home and I want to schedule something, I load up my UVerse app and flick through the guide to set recordings or go to my DVR if I need to make space. I can also watch my TV on my phone with the help of my Slingbox or my recently purchased Belkin TV (both stream video over the internet and can control my Uverse box). I also remotely control my computer(s) with the Teamviewer app and I remotely view my webcam with Airbeam (which can also work with my older iPhones to setup more remote cams to keep an eye on my puppy). I use Dropbox instead of iCloud and Evernotes in addition to Notes like the rest of the world but I diversify and double down with my cloud data via SkyDrive, and my favorite, BOX(.net) which happens to let me have a whopping 50GB of storage for free (not including my several other accounts using other email addresses).

I love going on vacations (who doesn't), and for some reason I always end up relying on my iPhone. I can use it to book and check the status of flights with Passbook and FlightView, and when they scan the ticket I just load up my boarding pass in my Mail app. For hotels, I love using KAYAK and Expedia, but I have also recently started using Hotel Tonight for my spur-of-the-moment trips and it gives me great deals of several hotels in the area of my choosing. I also look for deals and can open deal vouchers with apps like Groupon and Living Social. I go to Disney a lot and whenever we go we like to plan out our day so we can hit at least 2-3 parks each day, and the best way to do that and still ride the rides of your choice is to know how long the wait times are- enter Undercover Tourist. This company makes apps for Disney and other theme parks like Universal Studios and it tells you whatever you need to know: average wait times, what rides are shut down, parade times, park hours, and it even will forecast crowds for you! Once you're inside the Disney parks, you can switch over to their official Disney app to view their info. about their attractions, services, restaurants, and anything else you can possibly think up. When we finally leave the park or on our ride home, we love finding new restaurants and Urbanspoon is probably the best app in the business for finding any type of restaurant at any time of the day or night. For ordering food, I love using apps that let me fully order my food for pickup or delivery such as Chipotle, Moes, and DoorStep.

I love taking my camera with me wherever we go because when it comes down to it, it just beats my iPhones camera. I still take a million pictures on my phone but I also transfer many of my camera's pics onto my phone, then it's game over. Yeah theres great apps on my Mac that let me edit and upload, but for some reason it's just more fun to do it on the iPhone, maybe it's the touch screen or maybe it's the novelty of the whole thing. I use apps like Cinemagram, Colorized, Momentsia, Popsicolor, 360 and Photosynth to transform pictures into works of art or turn a group of pictures of a landscape into one amazing panorama. If I start getting attacked by mosquitoes when I'm out taking the pictures, I just load up my Bug Spray app which has yet to fail me in making high-pitched noises that drive away the flying bloodsuckers.

When I want to talk to people, I like Messaging and Calling, but the real fun is in vidchatting. Not everyone has Facetime, so its great to have apps like ooVoo, Skype, and Tango which work on pretty much any operating system or device. I also like sending and receiving quick pictures and videos with Snapchat which is pretty popular with all my friends.

For shopping, the iPhone has you covered every step of the way. Google Catalogs, Kickstarter, Groupon, Living Social, BestBuy, Amazon, eBay, Shopkick, Fastmall, and Mall Maps are some of my favorites that let me browse for deals or find stores when I'm already in the mall. If I want to make sure I have enough money, I can use my Wells Fargo app to sign into my account or I can use my Mint app which is way sweeter. Mint lets you sign in with multiple accounts whether its credit cards, debit cards, or investments accounts AND it even categorizes your spending and makes pretty little pie charts that can tell you if you went over the budget you set for yourself.

iPhone games are clearly an addiction and I think the whole subject of them should be avoided so I'll just keep it short: Words With Friends, Scrabble, Connect4, Checkers, Chess, Temple Run, Scramble, and the other 5 gazillion apps that either help you learn, pass time, connect with friends, or all three provide endless entertainment at all hours of the day or night.

You may think that I've just told you about every app ever but I've barely skimmed the surface. I'd love to keep writing about my other apps in hopes that at least one person reading this will find out about an app that can significantly help them the way all these apps do for me, but I think this has been way too long already. Apps have literally made my life so much more organized than I could have ever dreamed and they have allowed me to discover the world through routes that were never possible 10 years ago. They also come in handy and save me time, money, and energy so that I can be more productive and spend more quality time with my friends and family. All in all, it's amazing what myself or anyone else can accomplish with a palm-sized device that you forget was initially built to just make calls on the go.

As a geek, I love all Apple Products and I when I got my first computer, it was a mac, and at first, it sucked... I guess it was a lemon. My second computer was better and I am currently enjoying it. Installation of apps is really easy and "no viruses" to be worried about.

- I will always stick with Mac

When asked this question (being a tech and app junkie) it is one that is hard to answer without a lot of thought. Apps that immediately come to mind are ones like Notes or Evernote. However after I say that. Others come to mind like Pocket...I LOVE Pocket! I'm a very busy person and there is just no way for me to keep up with all the news on technology and other things! But I can't stop there because if it wasn't for Twitter I wouldn't be connected to half the blogs n' things that I want to know about. And how can I access files when I don't have time to make them iOS friendly (i.e. resizing or syncing with iTunes)? I use Dropbox to start a transfer so I can look at it later! And once I'm out and I realize that I uploaded the wrong file to Dropbox what do I do?...I open LogMeIn and I link up to my machine and find the right file to place in my Dropbox folder.

So that's a little glimpse into my iOS life and the wonderful apps that I use on a day to day basis. :)

I have always been a gadget person. I have had them all. Needless to say, I started to make my transformation to Apple late 2011. I wish it had been long before that.

Apple offers a seamless user experience with their products. They work in harmony. I have had an iphone since it conception and love it! Apps keep getting better and better and offer more choices. My favorites are YNAB and Evernote. I now have a Macbook Pro, Airport Extreme and a Time Capsule, iPad 3 and Apple TV. I have gotten rid of cable and no longer have a land line. It is so easy to communicate and the network is so responsive. I thoroughly enjoy my Apple products and have never been able to use electronics to the extent that Apple offers!

I guess what I am saying is that it is not just the apps but the whole user interface of iOS and OSX! The compatibility that is offered supersedes any other and I will never own another company just because of this!

As a Library/Media/Tech Specialist in an elementary school, I use a lot of apps that allow me to stay synced between devices. I use a MacBook Pro at school and home as well as iPads at school and home along with my iPhone. Therefore, I cannot live without Pages, Keynote & Numbers. I also use Upad on my iPad for taking notes, Dropbox for storing and accessing files across all devices, Photosync for transferring photos and videos. I use iMovie for school and personal activities. PDF Pen is invaluable for editing PDF files. And of course I need my e-reader apps - iBooks & Kindle.

Managing a Customer Support Team is a 247 job and I rarely get the time to shut off. Being able to manage my customers issues when I'm mobile gives me the ability to get out of the office and yet still be in contact.

From stock apps such as the Calendar, Phone and Email to specific apps such as LinkedIn, Zendesk and Twitter there is something for everyone to manage their business.

It's also beneficial to be able to play the occasional game on my iPhone as well so that I can get a break from customer issues.

At the end of the day if I've seen more Angry Birds than angry customers I would call it a success!

I am a Boy Scout leader. Specifically, I am a Scoutmaster (going on 7 years) for a local Troop as well as the District Boy Scout Roundtable Commissioner and also the Dean of Doctoral Studies for the University of Scouting.

I replaced all of my *cough cough* machines with an iMac and Macbook Pro about 2 years ago and have never been happier.

Recently (February), I switched from Android to the iPhone 5. My phone is my office - I would be lost without it. QuickOffice Pro allows me to edit all of my Scouting documents on the fly and have them immediately go to Dropbox - thereby allowing me access to them on my Macs the minute I get home.

It has become the most indispensable app I have. And, since it will work on the iPad, I would love to win one. :-)

As an atheist, and someone who has a best friend who is gay, I am completely against anyone representing the BSA winning ANYTHING that will help them continue to promote the message of intolerance and bigotry.

Sorry, but this is just crass and frankly, if the BSA rep does win, it will be a sad day for the causes of equality and LGBT and atheist rights.

Who said your atheistic rights apply to the rest of the world?

Why do you wish bad luck to other people? You ungrateful atheist!

Thank you skarchmit. I find it ironic that Cecelia went on to show HER ignorance and intolerance simply by her unnecessary comment - this isn't a forum board, it is a contest. However, I feel I need to defend myself and my position because of it.

It's sad that most of the people who tout the "you're a bigot, racist, intolerant" banner are guilty of the same thing they accuse others of by that simple accusation.

Cecelia does not know me, my thoughts or my values and made a snap (and extremely wrong) assumption based upon a contest post. If that is what "enlightened" is, then count me out. She will miss out on some very good stories if she continues to judge a book by it's cover.

I end this with a quote from Rick Warren, "Our culture has accepted two huge lies. The first is that if you disagree with someone’s lifestyle, you must fear or hate them. The second is that to love someone means you agree with everything they believe or do. Both are nonsense. You don’t have to compromise convictions to be compassionate."

Do the BSA allow gays or Atheists within their ranks? Do they receive federal and state (or local PUBLIC) subsidies?

The answers are no and yes. Clearly a violation of the Establishment Clause.

And the notion of "tolerance of intolerance being tolerance" is nonsense.

The BSA, as it stands actively discriminates against atheists and gays, and you work for them, which by default makes you bigoted and intolerant.

Time to get on the right side of history.

As for this "it's a contest" nonsense. It isn't a lottery type contest, it is based on unique needs and stories. Your story is one of a group that actively discriminates. So, for the sponsoring company, I ask, is this what you wish to be associated with?

New contest rule: We ask that you please keep any discussion on-topic and civil.

What was out of line with what I had to say? Nothing. I honestly feel that any bigoted or homophobic organization simply cannot be awarded a merit based reward. It will be a very good way to insure a product boycott.

Nothing uncivil in that, nor were there any names called. Facts are facts - the BSA is a bigoted organization that actively discriminates against the LGBT and atheist community.

My iPad and iPhone server dual purposes. I run my financial activity on them using apps, as well as doing social media and personal email review.

It is great to not be tied to my office because I have easy access to the majority of what I do through the apps that are available.

I believe that simplicity, in all its forms, is the best method possible in almost every arena of life. So, that said, I shall keep my response that will win me the iPad Mini succinct:

I am a pilot and use both Foreflight and Garmin Pilot on my iPad. The in flight cockpit use has made flying exponentially easier and I use these to supplement my passion of aviation.

Kudos and well done. Now where is my iPad Mini?!?
