If you’ve got a Windows 8 PC or Microsoft's newly released Surface tablet, now you can experience Forza Horizon in a brand new way. This week the Forza Horizon SmartGlass Experience was released, bringing Forza fans the open roads of Colorado via the touch experience of Windows 8.

The Forza Horizon SmartGlass Experience works as an interactive map of Forza Horizon’s Colorado and is accessed by running the SmartGlass app when connected to an Xbox 360 running Forza Horizon. The SmartGlass Experience lets players instantly access the entire map of Colorado. Using familiar navigation gestures like pinch to zoom, players can explore the interactive map and set waypoints on the map simply by tapping the desired location on the screen. Once a destination is chosen, that waypoint is automatically set in the game and new route directions are presented to the player.

Additionally, as with the in-game map, the Forza Horizon SmartGlass Experience includes locations of smashable upgrade discount signs, new race events, and more. Through a robust set of filters, players will be able to quickly find the exact event or item they are looking for with just a few swipes of their fingers.

The Forza Horizon SmartGlass Experience is now available for Windows 8 devices, and is coming soon for Apple iOS devices.
