The game went live on iTunes today following its surprise unveiling via an IGN review.

Available now for $9.99, the iPad version offers the Xbox classic in full with optimized visuals and "a streamlined user interface custom-made for the iPad's touch screen" which helps with text selection and battle.

All eight worlds, character customization and the full voice acted script are present, and according to the 8.8/10-scoring IGN review, "The iPad's touch interface is largely an improvement over the original."

The original KOTOR released on Xbox and PC in 2003 to widespread critical acclaim, earning itself an average review score (via Metacritic) of 94/100.

In early May, BioWare parent company EA announced that it had acquired the exclusive rights to develop "core" Star Wars games in a multi-year deal with Disney spanning "all interactive platforms and the most popular game genres".
