Adam Bishop's Blog

Adam is the creator of the independent experimental game Time Flows, But Does Not Return and has taken part in the Experimental Gameplay Project. He has previously worked in the game industry in Montreal, but is now a programmer in another industry. While his formal education is in the history of 20th century international relations, he has been making games in some form or other (board games, card games, video games) for most of his life and it's a field he'll continue to be a part of.  He currently has multiple projects in the works, which may make all of them less likely to ever see the light of day. If you want to get in touch with him, you can reach him at shapeofgames@gmail.com.

Brion, you honestly don 't think that if more games were made by and targetted at people other than adolescent males we 'd see a wider variety of thematic content Of course it goes without saying that having good people making things will likely result in better things being made, ...

My complaint is just that with the pirate version, he didn 't take any time or put in any effort to give those pirates an opportunity to go from pirate players to paying players. r n r nActually they made a significant effort to give them an opportunity to turn ...

Kamitani 's response pretty clearly ...

Kamitani 's response pretty clearly implies that if you don 't like his drawings of women you must be gay. I don 't understand how anyone could fail to see why that 's problematic.

Actually children are hugely influenced by things like what they see on TV. Advertising has a far greater impact on children than it does on adults. There 's lots of good research into this topic: r n r nhttp://pediatrics.aappublications.org/content/118/6/2563.full r n r nI know it 's nice to think that ...

I think the pay is a huge factor. Unless you 're very young and have no obligations, QA pay isn 't enough to live on. Certainly not enough to live on long enough to plan for it to be a career.
