UPS Appoints Ingrid Sidiadinoto Managing Director of UPS Singapore

Singapore, October 04, 2011

UPS (NYSE: UPS) today announced the appointment of Ingrid Sidiadinoto as managing director of UPS in Singapore, where she will assume responsibility for all express delivery and logistics operations.

A 12-year veteran of UPS, Sidiadinoto most recently has served as director of industrial engineering for UPS's South Asia District. Besides spearheading business expansions in India and Vietnam, she led efficiency improvements and cost-saving initiatives in operations, buildings and facilities in various South Asia District countries. The South Asia District is considered a geography with significant growth potential because it also includes nations such as Australia, Malaysia and Thailand.

"Sidiadinoto has excelled in various leadership positions within UPS," said KK Leung, president, South Asia District, UPS Asia Pacific Region. "With her knowledge and expertise, we are confident she will further develop UPS's business in Singapore, a key strategic market for the company. Her engineering background positions her to take our Singapore operations to a higher level of efficiency to further improve customer experience."

"Singapore is one of the leading logistics hubs in the world, used as a base for regional distribution by many global manufacturers, particularly those in the biomedical and sciences industries," Sidiadinoto noted. "With world-class infrastructure and high connectivity, the country is a vital part of UPS's operations and network in Asia Pacific. My immediate task is to ensure UPS's commitment to the market and to support Singaporean businesses across various industries with our comprehensive express delivery and logistics solutions."

Sidiadinoto started her career with UPS in 1999 right after graduation and was part of a pilot batch of management trainees in the Industrial Engineering department at UPS in Seattle, Washington. She was promoted to supervisor in 2000 and then manager in 2002, having held multiple positions in different engineering divisions in both Washington and California.

In 2006, Sidiadinoto relocated to Singapore as manager for operational excellence for the UPS Asia Pacific region. Sidiadinoto was promoted to director for industrial engineering in the UPS South District in 2007.

Sidiadinoto also is currently the chairperson of the UPS Singapore Women Leadership Development (WLD) and a member of the Singapore Women's Register. Launched first in Asia Pacific in Singapore last year, the WLD programme aims to provide a supportive environment that encourages and enables the attraction, development, and retention of women in UPS through networking, mentoring, education, and community-based involvement.
