BlizzCon 2013 Costume Contest
The Costume Contest makes a triumphant return! Every BlizzCon, you keep upping the ante for amazing costumes, and we're sure this show will be no exception. As you're contemplating what you'd like to create, keep in mind that your safety is of paramount importance-that means that any costume you plan to wear should be something that you can easily see out of and safely maneuver in without assistance. In addition, no real weapons, dangerous materials, or large motorized costumes will be allowed.

And, while the costume contest is definitely something you need to be at the convention for -- remember, there's another round of ticket sales on Saturday and we have some buying tips for hopeful attendees -- the art and movie contests are online contests.

When we first heard about The Art of Blizzard Entertainment, a collection of artwork from Blizzard's artists over the course of their development history, we all seriously underestimated its size. While many expected something on the scale of the art books that come packaged with a World of Warcraft Collector's Edition, it turned out to be a 376 page behemoth that dwarfs nearly everything else on my office bookshelf. The book features everything from Chris Metzen's earliest Blizzard works to far more recent Mists of Pandaria and Diablo III artwork.

Thanks to Blizzard Entertainment themselves, we have a copy of the book to give to one of our lucky readers.

For the launch of Mists of Pandaria, Blizzard was kind enough to give us some loot to pass out at our midnight release meet-and-greets. Unfortunately, one of our locations canceled their midnight release event at the last moment, leaving us with a bit of excess loot. Today, all of you get a shot at that loot -- we're giving away a plush gryphon and a plush windrider.
