Payday 2 - the sequel to the multiplayer bank robbery game Payday: The Heist - will be released in August.

The developer has also confirmed that the game will be released in physical form for Xbox 360 and PS3, alongside the originally-planned digital release. The PC version will remain digital only via Steam.
The studio says that significant improvements over the original and subsequently "the game's larger size" drove decision to introduce a physical release, with 505 Games on publishing duties.
