UPS Mobile App for iPhone Extended to More Nations

Atlanta, February 17, 2011

Now Available to Customers in Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy and Canada

Following the recent expansion of the Apple iPhone® to Verizon wireless customers in the United States, UPS (NYSE: UPS) today announced an iPhone-related expansion of its own: the popular UPS Mobile™ App for iPhone now is being offered to customers in Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Canada.

The application enables customers to ship and track packages as well as find the nearest UPS location from their iPhone.

"The expansion of our UPS Mobile App for iPhone is the latest in a series of initiatives to bring the power and convenience of UPS mobile technology to more customers on more devices in more markets across the globe," said Jordan Colletta, vice president of customer technology marketing at UPS. "Extending our mobile offerings makes logistics even easier for our customers."

The expansion of the UPS Mobile App for iPhone follows a previously announced extension of the UPS Mobile App for BlackBerry, UPS Mobile App for Android and mobile Web site, m.ups.com, to additional international markets. The apps alone have been downloaded almost 2 million times.

The UPS Mobile App for iPhone, like the UPS Mobile Apps for BlackBerry and Android and the mobile Web site, enables users to track shipments, create shipments using their My UPS address book and calculate shipping rates and time-in-transit. When customers are logged in, the tracking history displays and is automatically refreshed. UPS tracking numbers also can be nicknamed for quick reference.

With his latest announcement, customers can use their iPhones to create shipping labels in the U.S., Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Canada and France for document and non-document shipments worldwide. Shipping labels can be e-mailed in a PDF file for printout. As an added feature of the UPS Mobile App, customers can use their device's GPS capabilities to find the nearest UPS location.

The UPS Mobile App for iPhone now is available at the App Store and on iTunes. As of today, the UPS Mobile App for iPhone is currently ranked among the Top Five Free Business Apps in the App Store.
