Nintendo launches buy-three-get-one-free 3DS game promotion in Europe

Promotion includes Luigi's Mansion 2, Fire Emblem: Awakening, and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D.

Nintendo of Europe has launched a promotion offering customers a free Nintendo 3DS game if they register three eligible titles from a list of eight.

The So Many Games! promotional campaign kicks off on April 23, and requires users to register any three eligible games on Club Nintendo before June 30. If three are registered, eligible customers will be able to grab an eShop code for any of the other games on the list.

The eight eligible games:

- Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (3DS)
- Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate
- Luigi's Mansion 2
- Fire Emblem: Awakening
- Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity
- Animal Crossing: New Leaf
- Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins
- Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D

Games registered on Club Nintendo before the promotion officially begins on April 23 will still count towards the total.

To be eligible for the So Many Games! promotion, customers have to be at least 16 and live in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, or Russia.

The latest 3DS game, Fire Emblem: Awakening, landed in the charts at number three after its first week on sale in the UK, and helped boost sales of the handheld hardware.

If this comes to US, then I'm definitely getting Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for 3DS since I also want DK Country Returns and Animal Crossing: New Leaf and I already got Fire Emblem: Awakening and Luigi's Mansion 2.

Well good for Europe, hopefully for my friends here in the US that own the handheld they will get the same deal. Always nice to get a deal ad it will increase sales of the system itself.

Too bad its only for europe, or I would be getting like 2 free games by now.

It's always been buy 2 get 1 free! What's Nintendo trying to pull. Target & ToysRus sometimes have these sales.  Sorry Nintendo, I pass.

@Jag-T1000 Lol you can double dip if the retailer did it for you. For instance, I have three of these games, and one of them was free. Now that they are all three registered, if/when it comes to the US, I get yet another one free. Meaning it was B2G2 free... So really, your point is silly.

@Jag-T1000

Uh, it's rare that the actual developers do this. Retailers do that to boost their own sales, and promotions like that usually result in less popular games getting sold.

Long time fan of Nintendo, but I am getting tired of the F*** O**NA attitude we seem to be experiencing from Nintendo,. especialy Reggie Fils Aime

WTF? What about NA? I'd buy more 3DS games if we had this kind of promotion.

Thunderstarter

@soulless4now There's a similar promotion, but you need a 3DSXL. If you have a 3DSXL and Luigi's Mansion OR Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, you'll get a free game.

soulless4now
soulless4now

@Thunderstarter I'm still left in the dust then. I bought a regular 3DS like a month before the XL came out last year. :(

soulless4now

@hatieshorrer Wouldn't have worked since I bought it on Amazon from a seller plus I had to play Kingdom Hearts 3D. It was the whole reason I bought a 3DS so soon.

That is BS... I want to buy one but I need a deal like this.

To be eligible for the So Many Games! promotion, customers have to be at least 16 and live in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, or Russia. NO LOVE FOR AMERICA. WHAT ABOUT AMERICA, YOU DUMB NINTENDO?

towny_

@furrynic Seriously? You Americans get so much cool stuff with Nintendo that Europe/Australia don't get. You get your games like 3 months earlier and good  club nintendo rewards.

@furrynic You AMERICANS already have a deal that us EUROPEANS didn't get! You AMERICANS have the "buy a 3ds with either Luigi's Mansion 2 or Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and get a free 3ds game" deal. Us EUROPEANS didn't get that deal so stop BITCHIN!

Peace ;)

@Prime_28 Europe actually got a very similar deal to that one... It was pretty much the exact same deal, except you just needed to buy the XL to get the free game (I believe it was in January). I think some of the games you could choose from were different though...

Not complaining or anything, (since I know how much Europe doesn't get) just pointing it out.

@Plexxus83 Well they listed 11 countries and europe is what? *googles* 52 countries. So yeah. This sort of thing always happens to us Europeans.

At least GameSpot has the courtesy to put the word "Europe" in this headline. IGN did not mention this until the end of the article! ;)

NoA, please bring this incentive program over already! Not that I am not already over-flooded with games, mind you!

(Goes back to playing Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate and Soul Hackers.)

@omenjamlord What do you mean? The article says Europe not EU

Russia is definitely in Europe.

@Saketume @omenjamlord EU: European Union, and no they're not in it. More Eurasia.

Umm... You know what? Europe is part of Eurasia. -.- Oh... and Russia (western part of it) is in Europe... thats the common opinion anyway... its not like European borders are 'official' or anything...

I don't even want four of those games :l Three, yeah, but not four. (and I certainly wouldn't buy all three brand new right now, even if this was also in NA)
