However you choose to spend your time in Minecraft is fine with Minecraft - It doesn't judge The core of Minecraft's gameplay has remained intact: you mine and then you craft. You begin empty-handed and literally construct...

Notch unveils free ceiling-inspired Unity game called Drop, playable now

Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson unveiled Drop, a free Unity game available to play now, the developer revealed on his Twitter account. According to Notch, the game was mainly inspired by a section of ceiling in his apartment, as well as Fez's ending and Super Hexagon. Gameplay consists of gamers typing in the corresponding blinking letters on the screen and pressing space or enter to advance. Bonus points are awarded if more than four letters are entered at a time. The game speeds up if the wrong letter is entered and it's game over if a letter leaves the screen. Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition retail release delayed until June 4

The retail release of Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition has been delayed to June 4, according to a tweet by Xbox spokesperson Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb. Microsoft announced the disc-based version of the game last month, pegging it for an April 30 release in North America and revealing that the $19.99 retail package would include the "new additions coming soon in the ninth title update." Major Nelson's tweet said that the delay is necessary "to include the very latest content." Though he didn't make the connection, the delay may be due to recent troubles with Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition's ninth title update, which went live last week and brought a slew of bugs, including lighting and connection problems, that developer 4J Studios acknowledged in the days after release. A change log published...
