News Japanese Box Office, June 5-6

The second part in the ongoing Kamen Rider film trilogy, Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider The Movie Cho-Denō Trilogy Episode Blue, debuted at #2 on Kogyo Tsushinsha's box office chart during the June 5-6 weekend. According to Box Office Mojo, the film earned US$2,137,017 on 211 screens.
Nodame Cantabile Saishū Gakushō Kō-hen (Nodame Cantabile: The Final Score Part II), the second film in the two-part theatrical finale inspired by Tomoko Ninomiya's Nodame Cantabile musical romance manga, dropped from #8 to #12 in its eighth weekend in theaters. The film garnered US$333,000 on 334 screens for a total-to-date of US$39,068,578.
The live-action Seaside Motel film adaptation of Yukio Okada's Motel manga debuted at #14 with US$281,487 on 52 screens.
Ginmaku Hetalia - Axis Powers Paint it, White [Shiroku Nure!], the first film based on Hidekaz Himaruya's Hetalia - Axis Powers web manga, also debuted at #15 and earned US$269,110 on 10 screens.
Detective Conan: The Lost Ship in The Sky and Gintama: Shinyaku Benizakura-Hen (Gintama: Benizakura Arc — A New Retelling) are no longer listed on either box office chart.

Time and Eternity's attempt at playing anime falls to ruin at every point. Hoping to fuse games and animation into a revolutionary RPG, it instead picks terrible ingredients from both worlds.
Another may have its faults, such as some of the imagery and some clues being almost too obscure, as well as one or two clearly contrived plot points, but on the whole it is a well done mystery/
Project X Zone is a bit too comfortable in its fantasy fulfillment. A hectic battle system builds up, but the energy fades well before the game's over. All that stays are the geek pleasures of seeing dozens of previously unacquainted characters bounce off one another.
Shin Megami Tensei IV's incrementally improved (and substantially kinder) mechanics may make it worth playing for lapsed fans who are burned out on the series, but anyone looking for the next Persona will come away disappointed.
