Rewatch: Tell us how to play Dark Souls Ep. 9

Sh1gsy, Ornstein and Smough

Last week I attempted to brave Sen's Fortress, but didn't get very far. I imagine the design direction for that area was "Imagine Takeshi's castle... but in hell, and with humanoid snake lizard things that eat your face."

It seems getting through this area is very much a case of falling prey to the various traps, then using your knowledge of them in follow-up attempts.

Tonight I'll be taking another crack at it. With your help and a little luck I'll be able to get the hell out of that death house.

    Great stream again this evening and a good turn out as well. I expected everyone to be out throwing barbecues or sat in beer gardens somewhere but it looks like they'd rather sit at home and watch CVG staff playing videogames.

    Made some huge progress tonight though. Blazed through Sen's Fortress and Anor Londo and had a bloody good laugh whilst doing so. I think you only died about twice which has to be some sort of world record for Dark Souls. I think Sh1gsy surely has to take some of the credit. He was a demon. That fat onion knight can sure move his ass and swing a sword.

    Can't wait for next week. Make sure you all tune in. You're missing out :mrgreen:

    Honestly though, its made me reboot my original (furthest) playthrough where I got lost in the forest, and kind of left it due to fear/confusion/other games to play.
    Will be tuning in realtime once I catch up (about to watch ep 6)
    Just made the Gaping Dragon my byatch! Bring on the butterfly.
    Also, I think 'Homeward Bone' is the most unintentionally funny item name in a game, translated or otherwise.
